Enneagram Fears
Information overload can sometimes cloud our judgment. What if we streamline Enneagram back to its basic fears? They are, after all, what determines type.
If someone said the following to you, which one from each center would hurt or scare you the most? (Once you choose your basic fears, arrange them according to what you fear most to least and... voila, you have your tritype order.)
Gut:
1. “You only pretend to be good. You are actually evil and irredeemable.”
8. “I’m going to use and abuse you and there’s not a thing you can do about it.”
9. “After I leave you, you will never feel whole or peaceful again.”
Heart:
2: “No one will ever love you. And you know why? You’re not worth loving.”
3. “Deep down, under all the fakery, you’re no one and have nothing to offer.”
4. “You’re a poser, pretending to be exceptional. You’re actually ordinary.”
Head:
5. “I knew you were incompetent. Useless. I was just waiting for you to prove it.”
6. “From here on out, you’re on your own. No one will help you.”
7. “You’ll never have what you want. You’ll never go anywhere or do anything.”
