Introducing....Rapunzel!Reader & Flynn Ryder!Dean
Rapunzel!Reader who traces Flynn Ryder!Dean's anti possession tattoo. The first time she sees it, she finds it so intriguing. Like the sun but darker than the real sun could ever be, a deeper, more dangerous meaning to it. She runs her fingertips along the edges and Flynn Ryder!Dean thinks she's weird the first time she does it, but he can't deny the pull he feels in her chest, silently begging her never to stop.
Flynn Ryder!Dean who shows Rapunzel!Reader that everything she grew up being scared of was okay, it wasn't going to hurt her, he wasn't, not ever. He shows her his favourite things too, a silly little smile on his face when he teaches her to play Tomb Raider, eyes flicking from her to Lara Croft.
Flynn Ryder!Dean who buys Rapunzel!Reader a portable painting kit. He knows she misses painting, it's not exactly practical to carry around an easel in Baby's trunk so he finds this little kit in a thrift store one day. A funny little homemade thing that has all the basic colours and even these cute little brushes he knows she'll love.
Flynn Ryder!Dean who gets himself and Rapunzel!Reader matching sun bracelets, nothing that stands out too much, a simple symbol with a leather band, but it's not simple to her in the slightest.
Flynn Ryder!Dean who has to chop Rapunzel!Reader's hair off when a monster grabs it. It's the only way he can save her but he feels endlessly guilty afterwards, certain she'll be mad at him. But once Rapunzel!Reader tells him she loves it, when she tells him that she finally feels free now, Flynn Ryder!Dean is so relieved and now he adores her new look.

It's interesting to when Rapunzel is talking to Eugene and he asks if she will go back and she is quick to say "No!" and then "it's complicated." She really loves freedom but feels guilty cause Gothel has always hammered it into her head that her hair is worth more than her. "A gift like that has to be protected. That's why she never - why I never left." Poor Rapunzel grew up actively being told that the only part of her that mattered was her magic.
What a crazy shift that must have been to be loved by Eugene after she lost her magic and hair. I wonder if that affected her self-worth a lot. Her hair was probably all she saw her own worth in, and to suddenly be without that must have made her feel so unlovable without that way of giving to people. Giving has always been her love language, and it's no wonder why. But soon after, Eugene & her parents show her what real love is. 💜👑🦎
