ENTP and INTP in relationship.

ENTP: and we have to do something cute,like normal couples in a relationship.

Are enfps a terrible match for us entps? Be it friendship or romantic relationships??

I don’t think they’re a bad match but I don’t think they’re the best either. Two of my best friends are ENFPs and I get along super well with them, but sometimes we collide.I think for us ENTPs, it’s sometimes hard to understand how they handle their feelings. They are very emotional, but at the same time they’re quiet about it. They let you know something happens with them by the way they act but they don’t tell you directly. So you have to guess it, ask them, and they will take their time before they tell you. I think they think they’re bothering us with their problems and that’s not true, they’re insecure and constantly thinking they’re annoying when in fact the only annoying thing is that. And when they have a problem they’re super pessimistic and they let themselves be discouraged by it. I’m not the most optimistic person myself but I try to always look for the bright side or at least I try to find logic, which keeps me more motivated. No matter what you say to them, you can’t really help them (though they appreciate it), so that makes me feel helpless and sad. Then we have very different interests. They’re much more into things like music, art, movies, sports… ENTPs are more intellectual I think and since they don’t share that interest they think we’re too complicated and this can make conversations difficult. Also I’ve noticed  they have strong beliefs and are very stubborn. I think you can make an ENTP agree with you in 99,99999% of things if your arguments are good enough and make sense (I’m not saying it’s easy, but you can), however, if an ENFP believes in something you won’t make them change their mind. 

When it comes to fights I’m not sure because my two ENFP friends have very different ways of acting. One of them gets super mad and becomes very rude, and eventually, she stops talking to you. It’s very hard for her to admit she’s done something wrong and apologize, even if she feels bad about it. She once told me, “if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be friends today”, because I was always the one going after her when we had fights. My other friend is much more peaceful and doesn’t like to argue with anyone, she’s also less sensitive. But when you do something that hurts her she doesn’t tell you and she suffers alone. 

I personally don’t think I could have a relationship with an ENFP (I don’t know if ENFP guys are different or something) but they’re just not my type. I love my friends so much, we have an awesome time together but I think the problem starts when you have to coexist with them for a longer period of time. It’s easier to fight and it’s not the kind of fight that I handle easily. It’s like I have to constantly “pull the rope” and it would frustrate me in the long term. We’re great friends but not the perfect match for a couple. However, I could be wrong, maybe I meet an ENFP and fall in love and I have to retract myself, but for now this is my opinion. 

(Also I highlighted the bad aspects of our friendship to point out why we wouldn’t match, there are so many good parts don’t think otherwise)

I keep hearing INTP and ENTP would be a disaster and I feel bad because I dont think my relationships (I am the ENTP) is such a disaster.

Well what I mean with a disaster is not the relationship itself but the people in it. xNTPs are very similar and both share the same laziness and inconsistency, they have great ideas but often get bored halfway. Two of them dating would be a disaster in that there’s nothing to balance that mess. None of them encourages the other to be better, since they both share the same problem. Also, another problem that I see is that they have tertiary (ENTP) and inferior (INTP) Fe, so sometimes feelings would not be expressed appropriately and they could have a tendency to be selfish. 

But this doesn’t mean a relationship wouldn’t work. I personally think that you can tolerate the bad aspects of a relationship (if they’re considerably tolerable) as long as the good things make up for them. And this is a couple that in my opinion has so many good things. Besides, it also depends on the degree of development of their cognitive functions, the effort they want to put in the relationship and a lot of other factors.

What about how a ENTP guy would introduce hisself to new people ? What's his thought process and what would he say ? Thank you ! Love your blog btw ❤️

ENTP answer: I don’t introduce myself to people. They already know me.

INTJ answer: I think the way you introduce yourself does not depend on your MBTI, but there are some patterns that every type tends to imitate. Gender also doesn’t matter, so any ENTP would act mostly the same.

ENTPs tend to be quite reserved at first, but they don’t like it to show, so if you don’t know them you won’t probably notice. They are quick to warm up to people but they prefer to know something about the person beforehand. Despite their closeness, they don’t trust the person easily, only after some time, so I’d say there’s a difference from when you meet them first to some months after. A typical ENTP reaction to meeting someone new would be:

Very excited, they want to investigate and know things about their lives (possibilities are awesome for them and a new person is a new world of ideas), they tend to be complement the other person (if the person is very Extroverted, they aren’t usually as Extroverted as they could be, but if they sense the person is more on the Introvert side they take the talker role), and questions. Lots of questions. Beware of their questions.

Can you make a "How to know if an ENTP likes you"?

When an ENTP likes you in general:

Seek contact. Always looking for something exciting, something new, it’s easy for ENTP to forget something along the way, and sometimes it’s people they leave behind unconciously. A good way to tell an ENTP likes you is seeing if they ask you to tag along, like inviting you to their world. A problem with ENTPs is that they are distant even if they don’t look like it, because despite being able to befriend a lot of people, they are slow to make deep connections. What my two ENTP friends do when they like you is initiating get-togethers, the more comfortable they are with you, the less people they ask to come when hanging out, until it’s the both of you alone.

Deep conversations. And by this I mean the kind of conversations in which they share their honest opinions about a topic. ENTPs like to debate and argue, but it’s not often that they share what they truly think, despite how opinionated they might look like. If they say something like “In my opinion”, “I believe” or “What I think”, implying not only facts, but also themselves, they are revealing something more personal and it’s a sign they trust you.

Share their feelings. Similar to above, but in a more direct way. If they speak about how they are feeling, tell you they are down, or how a certain thing made them feel (This doesn’t happen often, because or their Fe, so it’s a major indicator of trust), they understand you are a person they can rely on.

Touch. They like to feel the people they like close. Every ENTP I have met (especially female ENTPs, but male ENTPs too), unconciously got closer to friends, for example grabbing their arm or touching their shoulder while they were speaking. They also do it conciously, for example my ENTP friend would touch her friend’s face or randomly poke her.

When they like you romantically:

Sudden closeness. If the ENTP has decided they like you (and it might take some time because they are not the type to sit and ponder their feelings), they will waste no time and suddenly be all over you, trying to get your attention, inviting you to spend time with them, coming up with new activities for the both of you to do... Everything to get closer to you as fast as possible.

Listen. They listen to what you have to say like it’s the most interesting thing they could focus their attention on. They are probably trying to see if there is something more, something interesting for them in the way you think, something that draws them. This also means they will keep the conversation going as long as you keep interesting them, and show a big amount of enthusiasm. This also happens when they like you in general, but in this case it will be even more evident. Their eyes light up and they talk a lot and very fast in contrast to the nods and fake smiles they give to people they don’t like.

Eye contact. Important. They tend to look people they like in the eye-it’s their way of demonstrating their interest. They will also look at you a lot, especially when something happens. My ENTP friends said once that the facial expressions of a person are very important to her, so if you are for example laughing and they look at you for some moments, it’s a sign.

Gravitate towards you. As Extroverts, one of the best ways to tell if they like you is seeing if they choose you in a large group of people, for example in a room full of people (a party, a classroom). 

Serious attitude. As well as trying to get closer to you using their wit and humor, they will also be very attentive and helpful, more than what you would expect knowing they are ENTP. They will try to open up with you and share things they wouldn’t tell other people, and hope for you to do the same (But they must trust you a lot first).
