Entropy II: Father, I had a feeling today.
Entropy I: Well, DON’T, son.
Entropy II: [up a ladder] I'm scared, dad.
Entropy I: [holding out arms] Do you trust me, son?
Entropy II: Yes.
Entropy I: Come on, son.
Entropy II: [lets himself start to fall backwards]
Entropy I: [drops arms, walking away] Rule number one! Never trust anybody.
Humans are very reticent to torture each other. Even getting them to do simple things like pulling out each other's teeth is... I can't think of the right analogy.
Lord Entropy I
Entropy I: There's only supposed to be one. Maybe that's why you and I can never get along. We're not supposed to exist together.
Entropy II: Also, you're evil and keep killing people.
Entropy I: Good point. Also a factor.
had to downgrade from the skull throne to an inflatable chair filled with blood, it sucks.
Lord Entropy I, complaining about the end of the Third Age
Welcome to the internet, young Entropy. Your father was... quite the man. To help start you, let me give you a question asked of me, whose answering left me mildly flummoxed: "Can you shed any light on the distinction between the Outside and the Lands Beyond Creation?"
My father was no man as you understand it.
As to the Lands Beyond Creation and the Outside? Once, Creation was separated from the Lands Beyond by the Weirding Wall, giant blue flames that protected it from that rejected by Cneph. In the Third Age, the Excrucians came to unmake it, riding in, fighting the War.
Then, one of them slew Jade Irinka. Her soul, the soul of all suns, descended unto the mysteries of Death, which lay outside Creation. And it illuminated them. The effect is similar to how an electric lightbulb can instantly fill a room. Her soul’s light overwhelmed the Lands Beyond Creation, washing over them with the Outside, and overwhelming most of Creation with it.
Where you could once mistake the Lands Beyond Creation for Nirvana, what replaced it is unmistakably primordial Kaos with all its potential and all its terror.
