Alright go, talk to me about your oc’s strange little creature

lets talk abt the book im working on. hi. follow @eocena for aesthetic photos and sad poetry im making to be abt my characters. anyways! "adventures in eocena" is a book in baby stages about a kid who wakes up in a town with no memories and his quest to rediscover who he used to be. he starts calling himself finch, makes some friends, then travels the whimsical land of eocena trying to find himself!
finch is like. just some sad little guy. like there is something wrong with him. you could pour soup in their lap and theyd apologize to u. probably fell in the lake on their way here. some kinda kitten caught in the storm drain. hes buried under layers of anxiety that he spends the story trying to shed. has a cool looking locket that he cant get open
finch stumbles into a cafe and meets the charming artist/sculptor/barista/cat(?)person laika, his first new friend! laika has paws and some skinny little tail that they like to tie ribbons on. their mom runs this cafe so they work there and their art is all over the walls and its like rlly good actually. almost psychedelic or something. pretty vivid ! but regardless they let finch stay with them bc although hes trying to be hush hush abt the fact that he has no memories hes still obviously falling apart at the seams like he is NOT doing great. so he stays w them n works at the cafe for a while and laika is their new chatty, excitable, eccentric bestie :-)
jezero, the third and final character ill talk about, is a druid. this means that hes basically a beetleperson who talks to trees which is the most watered down way i could explain it but if i start we're gonna be here all night. so hes basically on a rite of passage traveling the land so he can be a fully fledged druid and laika n finch see this mysterious cool dude and r like. ok. how r we supposed to NOT follow him. so they do! and its awesome. jezero is like.......... my favorite even tho theyre all my favorite. his fav color is green. he likes plants n stuff way too much. hes got itty bitty horns on his head. he nerds out abt everything hes into (which is everything basically) and then gets embarrassed. i love him so much
