Yuuma Yukimura: Well, let's start out discussing the evidence we found.
Yuuma Yukimura: The photos, maybe?

Monobear: Dunno. They're probably some bastard who died before they got to this school. Who knows?

Chieko Otonashi: "It's very likely you'd die before you go to Atlantis," probably means we will die before we find what we're looking for.
Chieko Otonashi: I mean, that makes the most sense.
Yuuma Yukimura: ...And after it said that Monobear would tell us about that later if we found out who's behind him.
Monobear: Yup!
Monobear: A little something to keep you going, aren't I nice?
Yuuma Yukimura: Right.
Yuuma Yukimura: So our first priority should be figuring out who is behind Monobear.
Chieko Otonashi: We also need to find Darcy's murderer...again.
Chieko Otonashi: That is, assuming they aren't the same person.
Yuuma Yukimura: Mm.
Karin Kanoya: Karin Kanoya whisks ghostly batter idk
Yuuma Yukimura: That means it wasn't Ryu. But... He didn't put up much of a fight after he was found guilty.
Monobear: I can tell you it wasn't Ryu.
Yuuma Yukimura: So maybe he was the mole.

Monobear: Monobear he stays silent for a second.
Monobear: It wasn't Ryu.

Jamie Sayde: ...If he didn't kill anyone why would he need a punishment.
Jamie Sayde: Jamie's eyes are wide and are staring at Monobear
Monobear: I couldn't have you die when it was just gettin' good, could I? Might as well pretend you got it right so you could get to here!
Yuuma Yukimura: ...You broke your own rule.
Jamie Sayde: And lied.
Monobear: Yeah...But it was for a good cause!
Chieko Otonashi: I'm not sure you could call this a "good cause."
Yuuma Yukimura: ...So you could observe us longer.
Hayai Jikko: Dude thats just wrong...
Monobear: It was either that, or everyone dies without getting justice!

Monobear: Ryu died for you, and you're saying you'd rather all die instead!

Hayai Jikko: If the person we're looking for is actually that therapist it wouldn't matter if we chose someone other than Ryu.

Yuuma Yukimura: You would have killed anyone, as long as they were fingered as the killer.
Monobear: Monobear laughs
Yuuma Yukimura: ... So, perhaps the killer was whoever is behind Monobear. The therapist. Yujin Mashin.
Yuuma Yukimura: That way, it wasn't necessarily Monobear, and it wasn't Ryu.
Monobear: Monobear watches everyone carefully
Hayai Jikko: You'd kill anyone just for fun!
Monobear: ...Was that for me?
Hayai Jikko: Obviously!

Yuuma Yukimura: I... I don't think it was for fun. I think it was to see how we would react. Or maybe to push someone over a threshhold.
Hayai Jikko: Hmph!
Yuuma Yukimura: D-did you all see the last picture? I hadn't noticed until later, I was reviewing the evidence with Laima.
Jamie Sayde: The last picture...?
Chieko Otonashi: You mean the one with that woman, don't you? The hugging one, right?
Chieko Otonashi: I hadn't seen it until I was going through the evidence again.
Yuuma Yukimura: Yeah. Everyone looked happy... Yujin Mashin is a really weird name. "Friend machine", literally.
Yuuma Yukimura: S-so I think that the person in that picture is Yujin Mashin, the therapist.
Chieko Otonashi: And you think that's whoever is behind Monobear, right?
Yuuma Yukimura: Yeah.
Monobear: Monobear looks around
Chieko Otonashi: But we don't have any real evidence of that! I myself think it's probably the truth... But we can't decide that just based on our opinions, you know?
Yuuma Yukimura: ...I-I know, but that's all the evidence we have. I don't know, I can't come up with anything else, I don't think...
Chieko Otonashi: That's true. It feels like we either don't have enough evidence to find out who it is behind Monobear, or there's something that we're just missing, you know?
Yuuma Yukimura: There's a lot we're missing... The mole, where the pictures came from, the information about the outside world... We have to try to think, though.
Yuuma Yukimura: Yuuma forces a small smile
Chieko Otonashi: ...Yeah, you're right! Before I was thinking that I didn't even want to try to figure this out, I couldn't see the point in it. But that was wrong! We've made it this far, we can probably figure it out just like we always have.
Yuuma Yukimura: We have to leave.
Monobear: Monobear grates cheese

Yujin Mashin: Because I destroyed the world. It was all needed of course, otherwise I wouldn't do it. I love you all so, so much...This really hurt me.
Jamie Sayde: Why would you destroy the world?
Yuuma Yukimura: ...B-but not the whole thing, then.
Jamie Sayde: Jamie's voice is weak.
Yujin Mashin: To observe behaviour.
Yuuma Yukimura: You left Atlantis untouched.
Yujin Mashin: I destroyed 70% of it, actually.
Yujin Mashin: Yes...That's Atlantis.
Yujin Mashin: The one place I can't destroy...Because I don't know where it is.
Chieko Otonashi: Y-you don't really mean Atlantis, right? Like the city under the water?
Chieko Otonashi: Atlantis doesn't exist!
Yujin Mashin: Oh no no no! It's not like that. I don't know why they called it that, but it's not underwater.
Yuuma Yukimura: ...Then what is it?
Yujin Mashin: I don't know.

Chieko Otonashi: Then how do you know it's real?
Yujin Mashin: Where else would the 30% of the world left go?
Yujin Mashin: I can't find them anywhere I look, so they have to be there!
Yuuma Yukimura: So you wanted to destroy the whole world?
Yujin Mashin: No, no. That comes before.
Yuuma Yukimura: ...Before what?
Yujin Mashin: Well, as a therapist, I want to know how the brain works. I want to know things like 'where is the soul? Is there a soul? Why do people think this? What makes people think this?' Etc, etc, etc. So...I killed everyone to find out. Turns out I might of went a bit overboard...Oh well!
Jamie Sayde: Y-you killed...
Jamie Sayde: Jamie Sayde is too shocked and scared to finish the sentence.
Yujin Mashin: I didn't kill everyone myself, that'd be impossible. I set up the Strobe foundation to do it! I hired loads and loads of people, like in Resident Evil, ever seen that movie? It's really good...Anyway, I named it after a strobe light. Weird things, they are.
Chieko Otonashi: But... how would killing everyone help you find the answer to those questions?
Yujin Mashin: Well...You'd be surprised. Basically, you take off the top of someone's head after studying them loads, and see how the brain reacts when you do some stuff to it.
Chieko Otonashi: I... don't really think that's how it works. You were looking for a soul, and the reasons why people think like they do, right? You don't find that by poking at a brain!
Yujin Mashin: The brain is what makes us feel and have emotions, so yes it does.
Yuuma Yukimura: I-I-I have another question.
Yujin Mashin: Mmm?
Yuuma Yukimura: What's your relationship with Darcy? Her... File was missing.
Yuuma Yukimura: S-sorry to change the subject, it was bugging me. *quiet*
Yujin Mashin: Same as all you guys. We're all best friends.
Yuuma Yukimura: So... Why was her file missing?

Yujin Mashin: Mhm. I trust you'll be able to look after yourselves, I know what you're all like.

Yujin Mashin: Yujin walks out while hugging Monobear.
"These... These aren't even clues," Yuuma said, exasperated. "It's just Monobear taunting us." The boy looked scared, confused, angry. All they had found, to Yuuma, ended up nothing.
What? What do you mean that Ryumasa wasn't the killer of Darcy?
He began to twitch ever so slightly. He then began to tremble once again. Why. Whywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhy-
He stood up suddenly stumbled out of his room in a daze, forgetting to close his door.
This wasn't fair. This wasn't fair.
His eyes were wide and maniacal.
That bear allowed an innocent person to be killed. That means they killed two, possibly three people if the bear allowed it to slide past. The killer needs a horrible, terrible punishment.
He continued stumbling through the hallways, hand on the wall, until he just slid down it. He started hopelessly at the ground next to him, fearing whatever will happen next.
Yuuma had felt an odd, stinging nausea for quite some time after the trial had ended. He thought maybe, by some grace, the night would come and go, the fisherman would sleep, just as he always had, and he would be back to normal. Whatever normal may be. There were five left.
He was alone in the cafeteria, slouched over, elbows on the table, hands in his hair. This table used to seat everyone. All of them. The first night, they all got together and talked and ate and nobody knew what was going to happen. There was a sort of tense lightheartedness in the air, the kind you get when you're facing down a car on a highway, wondering if it will swerve in time, confident it will but with the driver's eyes obscured.
The car had crashed into them like bowling pins, murdering Junji, cutting Olga to pieces, stabbing Sachiko, burying Junsui, bashing Yori in the head, burning Chiharu alive, destroying Darcy, setting off an explosion to kill Ryu... Pulling Karin apart, limb from limb. There were some things you couldn't sleep off.
Yuuma was alone, staring at the table, silent tears falling slowly. He hadn't eaten in... About a day. He didn't feel hungry. He didn't feel like he deserved it.
