Why aint nobody talking about

Onision ranting about omnivores while he couldn’t go vegan because he was too lazy to research healthy vegan diets and was whining about taking suplements???

This isn’t strictly about Onision, but this comment caught my view.

First of all, Gandhi couldn’t have destroyed Indian economy because there was no “Indian” economy to speak of. It was British economy that was hurt by his policies of Civil Disobedience. While Civil Disobedience did hurt many Indian farmers, in the end it was an act of resistance against colonization. Civil Disobedience has been an important tool of resistance as used even by the Suffragettes and the Human Rights Movement during the 60s

Now let’s talk about destruction of the economy. The colonizers, i.e. the Brits, enslaved and tortured Indian farmers to grow Indigo on fertile land, a crop infamous for ruining the soil for any other crop. The Brits used and abused the “Indian” economy by buying cheap raw material and selling high priced finished products to the same colonized people. Saying that public resistance against colonization destroyed the economy is like saying slaves shouldn’t complain because they were treated well.

As for Gandhi being a pervert, it’s still a much debated issue.

As for Shane Dawson, he may be better than Onision, but he certainly isn’t the “light of YouTube”. He does have a racist past and he never properly apologized for it. Instead, he began a hue and cry about how comedy means consequence free speech. I might add he was also racist towards Native Americans in the same video.

Lastly, I might get hate for saying this, but the comment about Gandhi sure does smack of racism.

EDIT: Gandhi actually did bolster Indian economy. He insisted upon eschewing British goods and supporting native industry, something that provided a backbone for the country after independence.

wait so onision actually looks at these blogs? how do you know?

Oh yes, he absolutely does. 

For one thing, he will frequently make posts on Twitter in order to refute claims that were made on certain very popular anti-O blogs (particularly eoliveson.tumblr.com). For example, somebody noted on eoliveson one day, on a post that got many notes, that he never lets Lainey do her gymnastics anymore, even though she clearly enjoyed it. The very next day, he took her, Billie, and Sarah to a gymnasium to film the four of them doing gymnastics. 

He will also sometimes go out of his way to agitate the rumor mill: for example, none of his fans know that he and Lainey have a second child. Occasionally, however, he will purposely leave out little clues in the backgrounds of his selfies to hint at the existence of their second child, because he knows that the blogs are going to talk about it. 

Or, a third example: for a while in late December/early January, at the height of the drama surrounding Billie and his forum, a lot of the comments people were making on the anti-O blogs were about his body - how old he looks, how awful his skin is, how he has acne on his chest, etc., as a retort to the “body positive” videos he was making judging the attractiveness of underage girls. Within a matter of days, he had put up a video of himself shirtless, complaining about how rude it was for people to talk about his physical appearance, because he would never judge someone by their appearance himself. 

And secondly, but most importantly, Lainey has actually gotten into arguments with Stevie (the original owner of the anti-O ‘eoliveson’ on) before - and actually, the reason why Stevie no longer runs that blog (despite it being arguably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, anti-Onision blog on Tumblr) is because, a few months ago, Greg actually made a video accusing Stevie of trying to catfish him in order to get content on him. No one knows if she actually did it or not - the anti-O community is divided on the verdict - but either way, one of Onision’s fans ended up releasing personal information about her (including her address), and Stevie ended up quitting her mod position, partially out of frustration and partially because she has had her children threatened by Onision’s fans before, and didn’t want to put them in harm’s way.
