the effect of the bullets ricocheting off him looking like sparkles is something i hope was 100% intentional.

i acutally wondered 1. how that island thing actually worked and 2. how tf kokoro knew that. i love when an older character just knows shit from life experience. and kokoro is a fun older lady, glad she's getting another chance to shine. she's always a scene-stealer.

also chopper's upturned face is so funny.

this is so funny because it's like a kids idea, but also funny because jabra is very specifically like a tough dude so him being terrified of something that would make him stronger, especially when earlier he was offended as being one of the weaker ranks, is especially funny.

Golden light glowed on his handsome face, his inky eyelashes. He said, laughing: [Mo Ran] That Third Lady Sun is probably going to beg crying for Shizun to sell her some. Shizun, how much do you plan to sell each flower for? [Chu Wanning] Even a hundred blossoms don't take that much energy. Three copper coins a flower. How is that? [Narrator] Chu Wanning glanced at him again, Wrinkling his brow slightly, and said hesitantly: [Chu Wanning] Too much? [Narrator] Mo Ran sighed lightly. He didn't say it was too much, nor too little. He only said: [Mo Ran] Tomorrow, don't price the flowers. Let me sell them. [Chu Wanning] Why? I made the flowers. I'll set the price. [Mo Ran] Three copper coins. [Narrator] Mo Ran extended three fingers, waving them in front of Chu Wanning, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. [Mo Ran] Shizun, you're the Beidou Immortal, And these are your Night Haitang. Rare even in the cultivation world. You're selling them for — three copper coins? [Chu Wanning] No one ever asks for them. These things, besides looking pretty and being able to carry messages, don't have much other use. I think this price is about right. [Narrator] Mo Ran was nearly angered to the point of laughing. [Mo Ran] Then, sell them all to me, is that fine? I'll give you the money right now. [Narrator] Chu Wanning's hands stopped. A half-finished blossom lost the support of his flowing energy, and dropped a shining, golden petal. He really stretched out his palm, saying mildly: [Chu Wanning] Deal. [Narrator] Speechless, Mo Ran felt for his money pouch, Only realizing then that both his money and Chu Wanning's had all been extorted away by that old witch, Rendering him a little awkward. Looking up, he saw Chu Wanning watching him with a barely-there smile, embarrassing him even more. He muttered: [Mo Ran] Shizun knew very well I didn't have any money, and you still— [Chu Wanning] You boasted it yourself; you said you wanted to buy me.
