My thoughts on Chicago Fire 8x19
I actually really enjoyed the episode. I could have used with an extra 10 mins of weddings scenes but I’m glad we got something tbh.
The protest plot was a good way to showcase unity when there’s a divide. To try to understand people and their situations without too much conflict like Herrmann was doing in that one scene.
I loved the Brettsey scenes. The little moments of Casey wanting to be there for Brett but keeping a distance - like dude, we all know you’re in love with Brett. The scene where she breaks down in his arms had me in tears. I love the fact she isn’t pushing anyone away.
I enjoyed the little plot of social media and it’s how there’s two sides to every story.
Even though I could have used less protest time and more wedding time, I actually quite enjoyed this episode.
I’m going to watch it a few more times, pick up on things I’ve missed or didn’t pay too much attention to.
But yeah, this was my thoughts from first watch.
