“Alfred, have you seen the cat,” Ivan asked.
Alfred pressed the phone to his ear with his shoulder as he went to grab another chip. “Uhh, not for a few hours.”
“Really, I wonder why that is,” Ivan’s voice lowered and Alfred shivered.
“Dude, are you mad? Did I do something?”
Ivan took a deep breath as he stared at the cat, stuck between the door and the screen door. “Did you let the cat outside today, Alfred?”
“Um, I don’t think so. Ya know, he always comes around when I have food; I wonder where he went.”
Ivan pinched the bridge of his nose and hung up the phone to take a picture of the trapped cat.
