Perhaps the most talked about band of the last year...after their first two releases were played on BBC 6 Music, on the strength of which alone they got live shows, much hype and more airplay for subsequent singles. The band is of course Wet Leg, who's 'Chaise Longue' won hearts with it's fun, slightly naughty, sweet natured lyrics, a 'silly song' that reflected splendidly the two young ladies themselves, just two young women having fun. They themselves seems so surprised, so wide-eyed and awestruck by their success, asif they never expected it, well, they're sure drinking from the cup of joy and relishing the taste. It is always exciting to discover a band that you've not heard of before, especially when your first taste of them is in a live setting...such is the case with Yumi And The Weather, whom I saw a few months back, when they supported Burning House at that band's album launch show at the Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green, London.
