I'm assuming you meant both fem? But I agree, Equius is NOT cis. No fucking way.

(I could easily see Hal fucking with gender presentation in a way to establish a separate identity from Dirk. She gets into queer theory, and is really Obnoxious about it. She's also probably the reason Jake is finally able to realize his sexuality, which was probably the real goal all along.) - They started dating each other specifically to please other people. Nepeta was begging Equius to get out more, while Hal started dating at the same time Jane did out of solidarity. Once one of them finally admits that, they both burst out laughing about it. - I imagine that if this is a long distance relationship, they both decided to see each other in person for the first time completely blind. Very unsafe, but they're willing to take that risk to have that sweet romcom moment of "you're even more beautiful than I imagined." Hal doesn't even bother to pretend she's doing it ironically. - They write fanfiction together. Its AWFUL, but its Earnest and they're having fun. - Oddly specific, but I imagine Equius would have this really specific one-sided beef with John over being blue, and Hal would egg it on for shits and giggles. - Queens of the double date. They've hung around every couple at least once, and everyone has a blast. Even if you have nothing in common with them, you should go on a date. Even if you don't even know them. - They're in a very committed, monogamous relationship, and yet they flirt with other people in front of each other and don't care. Everyone is confused by this.

Drawing My Homestuck Ships Part 1

Yooo, I just kinda decided to destress this week by casually doodling my Homestuck ships in these generic poses. I had the sudden inclunation to try to contribute something for my favorite pairings, lol. Most of em are rarepairs/not often seen ships that I think are fun!

1. DirkUU: My OTP. The dumbest of fucks. Nothing compares to my love of imagening these two idiots becoming something strangely functional and wholesome. I want them to balance eachother out so bad it makes me look STUPID.

2. EquiHal: This ship kinda happened as I was getting into DirkUU thanks to an amazing fanfic on AO3. Arquius is an adorably amazing character in and of itself that showed up what this combo had going for itself, but imagining both entities staying separate and still realizing how well they mesh together is so cute!! Equius helping Hal build his body without the help of Dirk and finding the other's strangeness to be endearing instead of being put off.... good shit aaah.

3. GamJane: Yes I am a fool. I really hoped when Gamzee showed up in the Alpha Kids' sessions that he'd stick around them more. My on-and-off reading got my imagination spinning, hoping that since Tavrisprite didn't work out, Gamzee would kinda step up to be an unexpected guide for Jane through the game. I just think that would've been cool 😔 The way Jane dealt with Gamzee in their short amount of screentime together was the type of dynamic I love. 🥺 Let her have a dumb evil clown distract her from a dumb Jake! Gamzee really could've been used better *sighs*

Heeeyy some random question here but what are your favorite rarepair?

I have a lot of favorite rarepair! I guess my favorite favorite are pale tavrezi, pale johntav, johntavrezi, pale eritav, dirktav, davetav, janerezi, and equihal. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg really.

I like most anything involving Tavros (with maybe some pickiness on the quadrant here or there). I’ve juggled some janetav and soltav, got into some jaketav, some tavkat, some equitav, been intrigued by pale kantav...you get the picture. I think the only ships I’m not that into are lalondes/tav, but I think that’s just because I haven’t thought about it very hard yet. 

Outside of the Tavros ship fest, I like dirksol, erikar, a lot of various pale ships (HIC<>GHB and all sorts I guess), uhh...I don’t know if neprezi counts as a rarepair? Or jadedavepeta? I’ve juggled the idea of black nepvris a couple times, too, and I’m beginning to think about how interesting black dirkvris could be, or maybe ashen because that ship would destroy everything with the right conditions.

I guess the images in my shipping wall are broken, so...I’m having trouble remembering all the stuff I like off the top of my head. I mean, I like stuff when I see it. Rarepairs can pull me into a fic much faster than popular pairs. I just think it’s fun to see something new! I’m not into everything and I have my pet characters (I am much more likely to monoship John than I am Terezi or Tavros), but I’m open to suggestion.
