Wanting to get a new horse but don't want to sell my first horse
When that horse you tried out a few months ago is still gorgeous and still for sale
Oh dear. I own anxiety horse...
I go from ol' reliable (Trigger) who would stand tied to a post for the entire day, no trouble floating and enjoys his own company more than anything out on trails or alone in a paddoc. To Odie. Who apparently can't stand still in a paddock or tied up if I or another horse aren't around. Come to think of it, he's always been like that. He attached himself pretty strongly to me when I first bought him home, it was really cute. We used to play chasies in the paddock :3 like what you'd see in a lame horse movie. And then Pose was the first horse he madly adored, followed her everywhere, included jumping logs in the paddock. Being in a herd for the last 2 or so years has been good for him in terms of learning horse manners since he was starting to behave like a large dog (probably because that's how I had bee molly-coddling him...) I know some horses are more anxious than others, but do you guys have any tips for me? Does anyone feed chamomile to calm? Or any strategies to help him cope? That whinny in the morning when he first sees me is the most adorable sound, melts your heart. He's not all bad ;)
