Once upon a time, there were two bluebloods. One was named Equius and one was named Terezi. One day, Equius thought to tell her what his favorite animal was. It was a magnificent hoofbeast of course. Terezi's favorite animal, on the other hand, was a dragon. Equius thought that was dumb because, how could dragons be more majestic than hoofbeasts. There was no possible way.
Then Terezi fell to describing in horrifying detail how easy it'd be for a dragon to snatch up a hoofbeast and devour it whole. It was then that Equius realized that though Terezi certainly had the tools to be a decent clever blueblood, she had the mannerisms of an unruly, crass peasantblood about her. How dare she squander her Mother given gifts on such silly behavior. She could be so much more!
Terezi on the other hand, thought Equius really needed to take the stick out of his ass and have fun.
Their relationship was sassy and full of instances where Terezi made Equius feel uncomfortable and even MORE impressive, Equius managing the table on Terezi at times. There were many suggestive dragon roleplays involved and lots of accidental licking of musclebeast paintings.
