"Shouta," Yamada could have stumped his feet, though he knew overly childish actions don't entertain or amuse Aizawa, and they definitely didn't help convince him to allow Hizashi to do what he wanted with you. Really there was rarely anything they seriously fought about. Normal squabbles were a regular occurrence, but this was different.
They were at odds with what to do with you.
You didn't respond to anything. It was expected at first, Aizawa had reassured Hizashi of that a lot in the beginning. But now, you were so nonresponsive it was actually beginning to startle him. He wanted to be rational, but he couldn't be responsible when it comes to you; It was you. It couldn't be helped.
"We can't run to her whenever she is adjusting, she has to know we aren't her servants, she needs to understand--"
"She isn't eating," Hizashi interrupted his partners bullshit logical speech. "I don't fucking care about what she thinks. I want to see her smile again."
"You will." Aizawa tried to reassure him, he was struggling to stay calm himself, "I promise, you'll be fine, and she will be too."
"But she isn't even doing anything! She's not moving at all! She doesn't talk to us, I need her to adjust quicker." Hizashi was irritated. It wasn't whining, it was a mixture of anger and concern for you, he needs you to be healthy, "We did this, we risked everything, so we could love her correctly. Now, look at us," His hiss was bitter.
"What do you propose we do?" Aizawa tried to bite back his yell, he didn't want to blow up at Hizashi, it's not a fault of his to worry, but why did he want from Aizawa? He couldn't do anything!
"I don't know.." He sighed. "Should we talk to her?"
"No. We can't." Shoota decided while he watched your door. "Maybe we should ferberize her."
Yamada paused, turned to give his partner a death glare. "Are you fucking kidding me?"
Okay, maybe that wasn't the choice of words he should have used. After that, he could not stop Yamada from entering your room. Aizawa didn't stop him, he only stood at the door, watching him interact with their new cute tiny new kitten.
Yamada knelt by your side, even though you completely ignored him, making sure you didn't spare him a glance. "Kitten, honey, please talk to me, I can't handle your silence anymore!" Hands held your shoulders, forcing you to turn and look at him. "Please, I'll do anything, honey. We'll do anything."
Aizawa saw your eyes shift, hesitation present in your form.
He wanted to warn Yamada not to promise things they couldn't do. It was too late, though. Because his partner was too emotional to stop, he just had to let it go for now, and deal with all of his shit later. Aizawa only tsked, worried that his boyfriend was overplaying his hand for something as irrational as gaining your approval.
"Come on, please, Y/n, honey." His smile was reassuring, even though Aizawa could tell that he was struggling to hold in his emotions. Contrary to common belief in the community, Yamada was a cold person when angry, he was ready to take action immediately.
Aizawa knew Yamada didn't know what to do with you.
Neither did he, of course, what could he do, really? Hurting you wouldn't encourage you to talk to him- it would make sure that you barely acknowledge them. It was eating at him. He was getting irritated because he knew you were lying.
He knew what you did at night. He knew when you look for escape opportunity and it doesn't pan out, the way you cry.
He was annoyed because you weren't being rational. All they wanted to do was make you feel better. But you never let them.
