ok since ur the resident canadian check please mom here is some zimbits canadian thanksgiving stuff based off of my own weekend: Jack invites Bitty up to the Zimmerman's chalet in Mnt Tremblant to officially meet his parents!! Jack teasing Bits abt wearing a big coat but gives him his toque anyways. bitty very tentatively practicing his french w the Zimms fam. Bitty baking an apple and a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving, and Bob finds him his mamere's tourtiere recipe. p1

i see your pumpkin and apple and i raise you alicia making a tarte au sucre and bitty just being like :OOOOOO A PIE I’VE NEVER HAD OR HEARD OF BEFORE??? and immediately tries to make it even though everyone’s like ... there’s four of us and already three pies please stop. they give the extras to the neighbours.

anyway yes to the BNL. also think bob would sing some Old School French Canadian music under the guise of introducing bitty to canadian culture -- Cano? Harmonium? La Complainte du phoque en Alaska? Great tune. 

AAANDDD because the leaves are changing, jack and bitty go out for a walk and jack brings his camera and he takes pretty pictures and then bitty asks for a turn so he takes a few but then he notices jack like, comparing leaf shapes and colours because he’s a cute dork. so bitty takes pictures of jack without him noticing!!!! and when jack takes his camera back and looks through he’s like bitty!! you took pictures of me!! but secretly he’s really please because they look good actually, with the trees in the background and he’s kind of smiling to himself and is very handsome

How about Jack giving Bitty a history lesson whilst in bed because Bitty wanted to hear Jack speak whilst he played with his hair and asking about his new book worked best (surprise it is on the moment of history you should be studying rn) ;)

I’m studying the last three centuries of ‘human’ (white male) history and I am mad at my history book and anyone who made history these past 300 years. But Jack being a history nerd (man after my own heart) is one of my favourite things

They are sitting on Jack’s bed in Providence. Jack is leaning against Bitty and Bitty is playing with his hair. The conversation has steadily decreased as Jack’s eyes begin to drift close.Bitty’s eyes in return fall on the history book that’s on the bedside table. He asks Jack about it, and Jack begins to tell him what it’s about without opening his eyes. Bitty loves the way he can feel the rumble of Jack talking and the little smile that tuggs at the ends of his mouth. He starts asking questions to keep him talking and Jack is more than happy to oblige. He starts talking about his favourite time periods and the rise and the fall of empires. About the ancient inventions and the scientinst that came up with clever solutions before they had any of today’s means. He talks about the hierarchy in old societies and compares it to other’s, he goes on long rants about equality being lost and gained. He’s become animated, opened his eyes and even starts to talk with his hands a little. Bitty loves seeing him like this, his eyes full of light and his face open and excited. His brows get drawn together and he runs his hand through his hair when he thinks someone makes a bad or stupid decision, and Bitty could kiss him. He wants to kiss him. He interrupts Jack’s rant by kissing him, and Jack is suprised because talking about history really gets him inside his head -in a good way- and he smiles into the kiss. 

He feels so lucky to have someone that loves him this way, and he knows Bitty loves him despite some moments of doubt. Bitty is always there to help him work through them. And he cares for him and his history obsession and oh god, Jack loves him so, so much. 

Bitty makes Jack talk to him about history when they skype and he misses him, just to see the way he lights up. It always makes Bitty feel better. He starts going to the library and reads history books when he can’t call Jack, because that way they can talk about it and it also makes Bitty feel closer to Jack. Queue accidental history nerd Eric Bittle, and very proud boyfriend Jack Zimmerman.
