Hey definitely no pressure to come back but autistic jack is still about my favorite things about this fandom and this blog has made me really happy
I just donāt like the narrative the story when itās being told by a woman. Also I think a grew out of the fandom. Idk maybe the fandom has grown up a bit but not from what Iāve seen. so I canāt see myself coming back
I think all my autistic jack hcs were pretty well tagged (less so my autistic dex and autistic chowder hcs) so Iām glad this blog is still around and I wonāt ever delete it.Ā
There are a lot of reasons I'm not coming back to omgcp but I did just have to inform someone that the story is fake
So I know I said I was never coming back. But for some reason my blog has gained more followers in my time off than it has lost (over like two years)Ā
I miss this? I miss the blog and the community. I almost miss the story (I stopped reading when they came out to the team, havenāt heard anything since they were seen kissing on the TV) Iāve heard not a lot of great things about the vibe of the community (and the way Ngozi is dealing with the upcoming end of the comic)?
But I miss having someone to project all my autism on to, I miss the trans headcannons, I miss the rarepairs SO MUCH. the weird uptick of my blog had me reading all my Jex stuff and man thatās a GOOD ship.
Part of me wants to come back, I miss how easy it was to write for these ships. I have better photoshop skills, I have even more to contribute the the community. butĀ 1. Iām 22, and Iām not up to interacting with people under 18 2. I have no idea where the fandom is anymore, is there room for Autistic Jack, Trans Dex, and the stupidest rairpairs?
it use to be so much fun, there werenāt a lot of us, but now that this is more mainstream Iām worried I wonāt come back to the same community. Iām scared the fandom has passed me by, and quite honestly, Iām scared that Iāll hate what has happened to the story line, I didnāt like where it was going and Bitty and Jack being outed on TV has me SUPER weary.Ā
so idk you guys. What do you think?
WHO ELSE IS EXCITED FOR THIS?
Noah fence but the story of a low/no empathy person trying to do the right thing and make the right choices is way more interesting and realistic than a low/no empathy person as a camp villain.
Low/no empathy hero vs. High empathy villain
āHow can you choose to be good when you canāt feel it?ā
āHow can you choose to be evil when you can?ā
^^^^^ super interesting characterization tbh!!!
hereās a twitter thread about why I am not okay with this recent updateĀ

If bitty gets outed to his parents Iām gonna riot and Iām not even in the Fandom anymore
I have never, and will never be a fan of women writing MLM and those men getting outed.Ā āyouāre being too criticalā nah if women wanna write MLM Iām gonna be critical. whats that saying about not writing our stories.Ā
If bitty gets outed to his parents I'm gonna riot and I'm not even in the Fandom anymore
Net Neutrality
CONGRATULATIONS, everybody! We only have 10 days to fight the FCC & the repeal of #NetNeutrality!
Thanks to John Oliver thereās a SUPER easy way to do this Do you enjoy Netflix? Do you find yourself spending too much time on FB? If net neutrality goes away, our Internet bills go up and we give power to companies like Comcast and Spectrum.
Hereās what you can do - takes less than a minute: 1. Go to gofccyourself.com (the shortcut John Oliver made to the hard-to-find FCC comment page) 2. Click on the 17-108 link (Restoring Internet Freedom) 2. Click on āexpressā 3. Be sure to hit āENTERā after you put in your name & info so it registers. 4. In the comment section write, āI strongly support net neutrality backed by Title 2 oversight of ISPs.ā 5. Click to submit, done. - Make sure you hit submit at the end! **Feel free to share this**
It really amuses me when people take Dorian Gray quotes out of context to make them seem cute and uplifting and inspirational when nine times out of ten theyāre actually Lord Henry manipulating Dorian further down the path of destruction
We talk a lot about queer acceptance and advocacy in sports, but the sports world currently requires athletes and fans to assimilate. Queer athletes, whether they are publicly out or not, are often obliged to adhere to the cultural norms of their respective sports if they wish to play. These
North American LGBTQ advocacy groups, like Athlete Ally and You Can Play (YCP), exist to make the sports landscape more inclusive ā and yet, this advocacy model brings its own problems. Far too often, queer advocacy in sports is actually an argument for queer assimilation, and in pro sports like hockey, the specter of queer and trans inclusion is often a boilerplate statement, draped in rainbows, that is intended to obscure a true lack of action.
āIf you can play, you can playā is an appropriate slogan for You Can Play, because it illustrates the organizationās limited mandate. The slogan frames queerphobia in sports as a question of merit while limiting the discussion of inclusion to a given athleteās talent. However, homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia in sports has never actually been an issue of ability.
YCPās slogan promotes advocacy without challenging a discriminatory culture. Such advocacy doesnāt promote inclusion, but rather assimilation. Queer assimilation will not result in the free participation of queer athletes because assimilation leaves in place the racist, hypermasculine, homophobic, and transphobic culture of sports like hockey. This is by design.
This is such a fantastic read that really sums up the problems with YCP (and other organizations like it, and how they can and must do better.Ā
Iāve been away for like a year and i need to know.Ā
Is Bitty Still Trans? Is Jack Still autistic? is Dex still trans?Ā
