Stop the press! Que Sera Sera has been added back to Viki! This is one of the most delightfully messed up, complicated, ugly, petty, fascinating and sultry k-dramas ever! It also has my favorite kiss scene of all time…

I didn’t even have to wait long for this amazing scene, they popped it right into the end of episode three. When a gigolo decides to give a cute virgin her first kiss in a stalled elevator and that gigolo is played by Eric Moon, you know you’re going to get a good lesson in smooching. There’s a point where he’s leaning in and she’s all nervously clenching her fists and squeezing her eyes shut and he smirks… that smug little smile just did me in. And then her wide eyes response! “More, please!” I died.

It’s a toxic mess.

Which is, honestly, my preference in romance tropes.

This is a distinctively 2007 drama. Sleazy men and women, lots of realistic economic desperation driven decisions, men behaving badly, women behaving badly, poor judgement and frustratingly wild characters.

I loved it. And haven’t seen it in years… so excited to be firing up this gem today.

Wow, he really has a lot of scars on his body, which she also notices. His stories of being a travel writer don’t really fit with the evidence his scars or the way he hangs out with suspicious characters like the pawnshop owner whose office they are in.
