What an odd use of words! "Watch you." "Lead you." "Get you fed." As if he was more of her guard and not her guide…? Nunnally was surprised and stood there for a few moments, a bit dumbfounded, letting the rain fall on her despite being given an umbrella just a few moments ago. It took her a few moments to realize he was probably waiting for her to say something: --

“Oh, no! I could not use it seeing you’re getting all wet.” – she said trying to cover him…or them both but failing due to the height difference – “But you’ll have to carry this umbrella for us.” – a faint pink crept onto her cheeks; it would bring them close, but it was not a totally unwelcomed thought – “Yes,…I guess…I am…” – she slightly titled her head – “So, where would you lead me?” – she mirrored his words, but felt these words did not fit the purpose – “I mean what do you feel like having? What would you like to eat?’

Nunnaly knew she perhaps should not ask, but she just could not resist: --

“And who are you going to watch me from? Am I in any danger?” – she laughed; of course she was not – “Oh, I have not introduced myself, although you probably were told I am Nunnally. And to whom do I owe the pleasure? I was just given your description...though it did not depict you...properly...I guess”
