I recently discovered your battle cats au, and seeing as I have chronic lonely wizard brainworms, I stayed up too late one night, remembered Littleshade, and decided to draw them from memory.
And then the angst addict in me decided that since Magnificus is just built like that Littleshade probably was mutilated by him in some way for sensory deprivation purposes.
It's clear that Miststar in this AU isn't nearly as violent with his warriors as Magnificus was with his students, but late night speculation on how a cat would replicate sensory deprivation is highly entertaining.
Anyways have the product of my obsession

If it's any condolence, Miststar is still... pretty questionable in this AU (all of the leaders are, really, because I refuse to envision any universe in which the Scrybes are normal). This is also canon to the AU in a way; Miststar's "sensory deprivation" was just less physically visceral. Miststar just sent them to spend months navigating the cave system down to cat hell, and they... didn't exactly come back (mentally) in one piece.
I can only imagine what would happen if he was more of a tyrant...

So I'm trying to make a piece that features the true demonic form of your Cryptid Sightings DCA, but i'm only on chapter 10 and i'm struggling to find detailed descriptions of the boys true form without spoiling myself, particularly about the shape of their face. Are there any art pieces you or others have made of them that very closely resemble the image you had in mind when writing them? Thank you in advance!
I'm afraid the boys' cryptid form is revealed later in the fic but you can look to this art by @o-cinnamonstickz as she did a fantastic job capturing my design!
