🪡 Error x Reader headcanons The Red thread 🧣
A red thread has been wrapped around your neck for as long as you can remember. It was absolutely not something that you could choose or that you could influence in any way. When you asked your parents what that thread was, they looked at you as if you were talking about something that wasn't there. Thanks to this, you realized that no one else could see this thread, and it really began to bother you more and more every year. You couldn't get that thread off your neck, and every time you touched it, you felt a strange thrill in your heart. When you became an adult, you just decided not to pay attention to it. You started treating this thread like a birthmark hidden from other people's eyes, although the questions about what it is have not gone away
You tried to live a normal life as much as possible. But sometimes you felt your heart flutter even though you didn't touch the thread. It was strange, it was incomprehensible. It is also unclear how and where the thread led. When you were younger, you tried to follow the thread and figure out where it leads, but every time you just wandered until you got tired. You thought that this thread just existed and that you would live with it all your life, until one day you felt someone pull the thread. You felt pressure on your neck, which quickly disappeared, but the feeling of anxiety did not go away. There was someone on the other end of the thread, someone you didn't know, and you weren't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. But because of this event, you have renewed your determination to go in search of the other end of the thread. But now you were looking for someone who was on the other end of the thread, wanting to find out how it all connected to you
The longer you searched, the more it seemed to you that you were going in circles over and over again. It was as if the thread didn't lead anywhere, but it couldn't shake your resolve. You fell asleep in your bed thinking that in the morning you would try to find again where the thread could lead you, or you would try to pull the thread towards yourself, hoping that this would lead to some result. but when you were almost asleep, something happened that you could never have expected. The portal. A portal opened under you, into which you fell, along with a blanket and a pillow. The place where you fell was strange. There seemed to be absolutely nothing around, just a white void, but from above there were threads that were entangled around dolls and souls. You were sure that they were human souls. You should have been worried about how you got there and why, but the feeling of your heart fluttering distracted you. The thread around your neck was tightening, which made you realize that whoever was on the other end of that thread was somewhere nearby. That's why you hurried to find it. And finally you found it. You found Error that had the other side of the thread around its wrist
You weren't the only one who searched for a long time. The thread was with him even before he became Error, but it wasn't something he paid attention to. When he changed and became who he was now, he needed to find out what it was and how to get rid of this thread. He had a lot of things to do that caused him to postpone the search for answers to his questions, and sometimes he simply forgot about it until he felt strange, unusual feelings because of this thread. When his patience came to an end, he pulled the string and felt something strange. He felt that the answer to his questions was somewhere nearby, and when he found where the thread was going, he did not wait long. That's how you ended up in anti-void, and now you really doubted you'd be able to return home. You both didn't know what to do about it, but at least the thread that had been with you all along was gone. You both felt that the connection that somehow existed between you did not disappear, but just seemed to become invisible even to your eyes. You both had a lot of questions, and you both weren't going to rest until you knew the answers
As you guessed, you're stuck in anti-void. It's not like you're too upset about it. You could have left, but you didn't really want to, and Error wasn't going to let you do it. He couldn't quite figure out why, but he felt calmer around you. Next to you, he felt like everything was as it should be. His desire to destroy the anomalies hadn't gone away, and he was going to keep doing it, but now he had you by his side. Perhaps some higher powers or something like that wanted you to meet, and therefore tied you together. Perhaps with your help, Error would have had the happy ending it was once deprived of. Even if that wasn't the case, he wasn't alone now. You were next to him, and unlike those who sometimes appeared in anti-void, your company was much more pleasant to him
