I’m reading the Attack on Titan manga and the further I get the more I think that Erui shippers are onto something.

I mean, I won’t lie, I find the concept of shipping AOT characters to be a bit far fetched because there’s not much to be found to support any ship in cannon, and there isn’t exactly room in the story for romance.

But Erwin and Levi? I can see it. I don’t think that Isayama intended them to be a couple and like I said, there aren’t many romantic vibes to be found between the two of them, but they act like an old married couple, and I think if you were going to put a couple anywhere in AOT, they would work the best. They’ve known each other a long time, they’re the only one the other really trusts, and they seem to genuinely care if the other survives. Erwin doesn’t really have to worry about Levi, but Levi tries to convince Erwin not to go on the Wall Maria expedition so he won’t die. And when it comes down to choosing to save Erwin or Armin with the Titan serum, Levi is all set to let Armin die, and Erwin is the only one who changes his mind.

Anyway that’s my spiel, guess we’ll never know
