Ah, the Transformers brainrot is slowly setting in and I need to rewatch Animated and Prime.

Okay, so I obviously didn't like the Bayverse movie yesterday - it's definitely not my taste, and there were too many human shenanigans; I'm more interested in the bots, who finally showed up half-way through the film. (Seriously, can we just cut out the first hour of the movie, make the inciting incident 15 minutes in where the bots actually show up, and have the focus more on Wickywick and Megan Fox helping out the bots? Even if the CGI is too expensive and they have to be in vehicle mode most of the time - they can still talk to each other! That's all I wanted. And have some of the female bots around right from the start - even give Megan Fox her own guardian in the form of Arcee or Elita One or whoever. I'd be down with that.)
Now, I don't think there's anything wrong with Bayverse being anyone's introduction to Transformers - we all had to start somewhere, right? For me it was Beast Wars and Armada, and I'm not really interested in watching G1. I just think it's unfortunate that the first Bayverse movie had very little to do with the Autobots, since my favorite thing about Transformers is the bots being a team, and talking and doing things, and the plot actually being about them. Just my preference.

EDIT: In other news, work on the final Larn projects proceeds apace. After that: SENTAI THIIIIINGS. And whatever else will get rid of this pent-up inspiration. And then someone will probably ask me to do a thing again, and thus the cycle repeats. (JAMIE)
