i definitely think mira is the worst at handling her alcohol. zoey grew up in the US and was likely more exposed to it growing up, and i'd like to think that rumi very had to learn her limit very quickly as soon as she was legal to drink at the galas and events celine would bring her to.
but mira grew up in a strict household with not a lot of love and understanding. there was no way she'd ever chance messing up her way out of that house, so she never even bothered with it. maybe she didn't understand the appeal of it either, disliking how it made her parents and older brother act.
the first time she gets drunk with rumi and zoey, it's not at some fancy event or awards show, it's at home with the two of them by her side. they're probably watching something dumb on the tv, zoey insisting they make it a drinking game as they watch. unfortunately mira ends up completely inebriated before rumi and zoey can even get past the point of tipsy, and now they've got a weepy, sniffly, wide eyed mira clinging onto their t-shirts and she can't stop mumbling unintelligibly about how beautiful they are and how much she loves them and her eyes well up with tears the more she talks. zoey and rumi have to hide their laughter and phones as they sneakily attempt to take photos and videos of mira being absolutely wasted and so horridly cute as she climbs onto them and drapes herself all over them in an attempt to "crawl into their skin".
and then of course comes the wandering hands, slender fingers sneaking underneath rumi's t-shirt as the night continues. hands which rumi bats away, keeping them where they should be, which is in her own hands, gripping onto mira's tightly. mira whines about it not being fair and attempts to move onto her next victim (zoey) but rumi holds her insistently, much to mira's annoyance, and zoey's undisguised glee at the entire situation.
by the time they're in bed, mira's knocked out cold. zoey and rumi took her drinks away from her hours ago, but the drunk fatigue has crashed into her. she barely lets them get her ready for bed, grumbling and smacking their hands away as they try to brush her teeth for her. zoey and rumi each press a kiss to her cheeks, mira's flushed skin warm and pleasant against their lips. they dote on her while she sleeps, kissing her face softly and whispering nothing but love, despite knowing that she isn't awake to appreciate this.
when mira wakes up, the sight of the empty soju bottles make her want to gag. the videos and photos rumi and zoey show her later also make her want to gag a little, why was she so cringey. but then they're laughing and smiling so beautifully and she thinks maybe it's wasn't so bad after all. maybe her being a drunk sap was worth it, if this is the reward she reaps.
