Full name: Esper Lynn (Burke) Hancock.

Pre-War job: Prosecutor--one of the best in Boston. However, her marriage put a halt on that, so she took to being a housewife.

Current living place: Old State House in Goodneighbor and The Castle. Her and Hancock have converted Taffington Boathouse into a vacation home of sorts.

Freckles across face and on chest, stretch marks, dimples, crow’s feet.

Body/facial hair: Doesn’t bother (or have the time) to shave her legs or underarms. Trims best she can, though.

Strengths: Has a mean bat swing, quite charismatic and persuasive, high sense of perseverance.

Weakness: Goes into fight-or-flight with specific triggers (relating to her abusive marriage pre-War--i.e. slamming doors, the endearment “doll”, etc.), small, doesn’t have much firearm experience (can only handle a pistol).

After her marriage to Nathan--where she had zero say in any regard, especially in the bedroom--Esper is pretty open to trying most things so long as it's 100% consensual all-around. The solid "hell yes" list is: breath play, biting, praise (especially giving), and light pet play (when she's feeling submissive).

Gailiana Gail Parsons

Gailiana -- Italian origin, based on 'Giuliana', meaning youthful.

Gail -- Has a few origins, namely: Hebrew origin, diminutive of 'Avigayil' (Biblical, King David's third wife), meaning father's joy; and Old French origin, meaning cheerful.

Parsons -- English origin, occupational name for the servant of a parish priest or parson.

When naming Gail, I knew I wanted something that could both function as an easy transition when they express more nonbinary and also play into the religious upbringing that's alluded to. I imagine Catherine was the more devout of the two--James was to a lesser degree--so a name with Biblical background just made sense to me.

Esper Burke

Esper -- German origin, meaning magical/mythical or a person with paranormal ability.

Burke -- Irish origin, meaning fortified hill.

With Esper, I wanted to play a bit into how the Sole Survivor kind of exudes a sort of "otherworldly" vibe, what with the whole "I'm from BEFORE the war" and "I survived being on ice for hundreds of years." Burke was a choice that is a testament to her overcoming countless struggles, both before and after the war.

Dominic "Rom" Jones

Dominic -- Latin origin, meaning of the Lord.

Rom -- Hebrew origin, meaning height.

Jones -- Welsh origin, meaning son of John.

I wasn't particularly stingy about the meanings behind Rom's name, honestly. Ultimately, I was going for something more mundane and inconspicuous. 'Rom' was entirely a play on his computer whiz nature (i.e. a CD-ROM).

Charon Molakis

Charon -- Greek origin, meaning either of keen gaze or fierce brightness, depending on the source.

Molakis -- Greek origin, a derivative of the word 'malakós', meaning soft or gentle.

Considering the AU boys already had their first names situated, those were a given. The challenge was coming up with surnames that fit. Charon's might seem... in left field, but truth be told, I wanted to showcase how he's really just a Big Teddy Bear, despite trying to exude anything but that.

Gob Verne

Gob -- Hebrew origin, meaning pit or trench.

Verne -- Latin origin, meaning spring green.

When picking Gob's last name, I wanted to showcase his character growth in a way--going from feeling deep in a hole to in a bountiful greenery. When he and Charon eventually marry and share their surnames, it also works for Charon as a character.

Cleanup. Simply because that means she has to leave the warmth of Hancock's hold and the bed. If she had it her way, Esper would just be a loaf in his arms indefinitely.

Honestly, pretty regularly, especially when she goes to bed high. As she and Hancock grow as a couple, Esper often chooses to share these as opposed to keeping them to herself, like she's done for so many years.

What do they like seeing their partner in when they “dress-up?”

Esper gets an awakening of sorts the first time Hancock waltzes into the bedroom with makeup--and if he's feeling bold, a dress. She doesn't know if she'll love it... but boy howdy, she does; Hancock leaving lipstick marks all over her really gets her feeling a type of way.

Oh, she never goes wrong with some nice, hot coffee; this is a staple and teetering on necessary for Esper to be a functioning adult. She's a sucker for when Hancock makes her breakfast of the oh-so-simple scrambled Radchicken eggs and toast.

Aster (personal favorite) -- Wisdom, faith, love. (Hancock always sticks these any- and everywhere as reminders when Esper needs it.)

How spontaneous are your OCs? Are they quick to change their mind?

Most of them aren't, with Gail being the absolute least; they always have to plan and like to stick to it. The one who is the most likely to up and change plans on a dime is Esper, usually because there's simply so much on her plate at any given time she has to bounce between--the tasks' priorities sometimes teeter-tooter.

Someone unfamiliar waves at your OC. How do they react?

Gail quietly waves back with a friendly smile, but they don't go out of their way to initiate conversation.

Esper waves back with a less shy of a smile than Gail's, and barring that they aren't clearly hostile, she'll immediately start chatting, checking to see if they need any help.

Molakis just straight ignores it. He's not at all a people person.

Verne does similar to Gail, in that he just smiles and waves back without doing much else.

💙— How do they say/show that they miss their partner? Esper doesn't outwardly say that she does. She hates to seem clingy or teenage-lovestruck. Instead, she'll start exhibiting Hancock's speech/demeanor patterns (i.e. saying "ya dig", which she never does otherwise). She'll also collect gifts, looking forward to his reaction upon his return.

💕— What makes them feel connected to their partner? Esper and Hancock are very strong in their physical touch love language, so cuddling, holding hands, etc. is a large way they connect. They also do cute, more domestic things together, such as cooking meals, that help foster their connection.

💢— What are some habits of theirs that would take some getting used to? The most evident one is her Mentats addiction, but Esper also has habits instilled from her past abusive marriage that can be jarring at first to Wastelanders, such as setting the table and doing chores. She also tends to "study" people as they talk, something learned from her time as a prosecutor, which can be unsettling.
