😝 - Are they loud/vocal, or do they stay quiet?

Gail is relatively quiet in general, and that goes for in the bedroom, too. They usually make light, airy noises and don't really speak aside from maybe moaning their partner's name.

👅 - Oral sex. Do they prefer giving or receiving?

Poor Gail is so naive in this regard, and the first times for both are hella eye-openers. They do love giving it, though. Being able to make Charon relax and melt really strikes a chord for them.

| Physical description: Lean, slender, and small, standing only at 5′1″ and weighing about 115lbs. Most of her features are taken from her mother, namely her naturally chestnut-brown hair and full cheeks. It wasn’t until she went to the quite peculiar hairdresser Snowflake in Underworld that Gail found herself with her current grey-blue hair--which, along with her wide, bright-green eyes, has become a “staple” feature.

| Clothing style: Very much prefers loose fitting and bland--think of that early ‘90s style: oversized sweaters and cut denim shorts. On the rare occasion where something more extravagant is needed, Gail rocks a suit as opposed to a dress. Of course, when she and Charon are at home, she usually ends up wearing his shirts as loungewear. She prefers her armor simple and efficient. When she can find it, she’ll go for light purples and deep blues.

BACKGROUND

Gail was raised in Vault 101, never knowing her mother and being solely under her father’s care. Throughout her upbringing, she kept to herself, focusing solely on her studies. It wasn’t surprising when she was given the career of Pip-Boy Programmer at 16; ever the seeker of knowledge, Gail took to learning medicine under her dad’s wing on the side, turning out to be quite the natural.

However, Gail’s life was turned upside-down when her dad left the Vault abruptly, without informing her. No matter her pleads to the Overseer, she was thrown out into the cruel wasteland with nothing but the vault suit on her back. Thankfully, the city of Megaton took her in openly, and Gail quickly fostered a friendship with Gob. From there, she started to piece together her dad’s trail, and Gail’s journey began.

COMBAT & SKILLS

| Preferred fighting style: Favors keeping a safe distance, choosing to sneakily take a clean sniper shot over close encounters. She doesn’t trust herself with explosives, so thank God it’s one of Charon’s specialties. As she’s wandered and tinkered with various weaponry, Gail has also taken a liking to energy weapons, namely laser rifles... and later, the Tesla Cannon.

| Special skills: Very adept in medicine--so much so, she’s earned the reputation of “the Miracle Medic of the Capital Wasteland.” Gail is also very personable and charismatic with children... and ghouls (which some see as a skill in itself).

I’ll answer these for my Lone Wanderer gal, Gail!

Does your muse have a strong stomach? For the most part, yes. As a traveling medic throughout the Capital Wasteland, she’s seen some pretty gnarly things. Oddly enough, though, alcohol is the one thing that for sure makes Gail queasy. If she does drink, she has to take her whiskey hella watered down.

Is your muse a risk-taker? No. While she is curious about a lot of things, Gail stays methodical with her approaches (best she can, anyways). Not to mention Charon puts a halt on any action he feels is “outright idiotic.”

Has your muse ever collected something? Teddy bears! Gail, of course, has the one--her “bear baby” Snuggles--but when she sees intact ones, she snatches them up. She carries a few with her at a time and hands them out to children as her and Charon roam the Wasteland.

💦 - Any traits or physical attributes that really turn them on?

Gail has a hard time pointing anything specific out for a long while; they've never really noticed or had cause to. However, if you ask them now, after they've started an established relationship with Charon, Gail will tell you that broad, muscular shoulders are a huge weakness. Exploring the expanse of Charon's is a good way to set them in the mood, for sure.

😘 - Are they affectionate during sex?

Very much so. Normally, Gail and Charon aren't openly affectionate to one another--no PDA and such. However, that changes when in the privacy of their own home. Both of them allow themselves to express their love physically with hugs, kisses, and other sensual acts, and Gail gives into that a bit more than he does.

👨‍👨‍👦 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is their relationship to their family? do they have any siblings?

Oh, boy. Family is a touchy subject for Gail. They used to be their dad's shadow, always aspiring to be half the person he was, wanting to make him proud. After James up and leaves the vault, though, that changes... and even more drastically so after Gail finds him in Vault 112. Though they feel conflicted in their feelings, Gail still wants to make him proud, hence why they tirelessly work to finish what he started after he passes.

Ah, and no, they don't have siblings.

🏊‍♂️ SWIMMING - do they know how to swim? are they afraid of water?

Gail 100% does not know how to swim. At all. And yes, that terrifies them. Charon always has to carry them on his shoulders and cross the bigger bodies of water, or they'll just find a bridge to cross somewhere.

Yes, to all three. Good ol' TLC for the lot of them, they say.

Oh, most definitely, and Gail is very aware they have quite the list of them. The biggest ones are indulging in sweets before dinner (much to Charon's chagrin) and spending days on end working... while never changing out of their sleepwear (again, this irks Charon because usually this means he's without a shirt for a while, if it's laundry day).

23. What do they do when they’re bored and together?

Reading! Something which, at first, Charon kind of... doesn't get? He's not at all used to recreational reading--or being able to read to begin with--so when Gail starts to introduce the concept, he's a bit bewildered. Now, though, they both relish in the lazy mornings where they relax on the couch with gritty coffee and books. Gail goes for science literature, Charon the practical choices like guns and combat history, and sometimes, Gail reads to him classics like Dante's Divine Comedy.

27. What is their ideal vacation?

These two and vacation? Unheard of; Gail is a goddamn workaholic, only stopping when Charon physically pulls them away from it. There are a few instances they've actually been able to take time for themselves, and the go-to is always Oasis. Laying in the lush greens under the full trees and just... being.

Gailiana Gail Parsons

Gailiana -- Italian origin, based on 'Giuliana', meaning youthful.

Gail -- Has a few origins, namely: Hebrew origin, diminutive of 'Avigayil' (Biblical, King David's third wife), meaning father's joy; and Old French origin, meaning cheerful.

Parsons -- English origin, occupational name for the servant of a parish priest or parson.

When naming Gail, I knew I wanted something that could both function as an easy transition when they express more nonbinary and also play into the religious upbringing that's alluded to. I imagine Catherine was the more devout of the two--James was to a lesser degree--so a name with Biblical background just made sense to me.

Esper Burke

Esper -- German origin, meaning magical/mythical or a person with paranormal ability.

Burke -- Irish origin, meaning fortified hill.

With Esper, I wanted to play a bit into how the Sole Survivor kind of exudes a sort of "otherworldly" vibe, what with the whole "I'm from BEFORE the war" and "I survived being on ice for hundreds of years." Burke was a choice that is a testament to her overcoming countless struggles, both before and after the war.

Dominic "Rom" Jones

Dominic -- Latin origin, meaning of the Lord.

Rom -- Hebrew origin, meaning height.

Jones -- Welsh origin, meaning son of John.

I wasn't particularly stingy about the meanings behind Rom's name, honestly. Ultimately, I was going for something more mundane and inconspicuous. 'Rom' was entirely a play on his computer whiz nature (i.e. a CD-ROM).

Charon Molakis

Charon -- Greek origin, meaning either of keen gaze or fierce brightness, depending on the source.

Molakis -- Greek origin, a derivative of the word 'malakós', meaning soft or gentle.

Considering the AU boys already had their first names situated, those were a given. The challenge was coming up with surnames that fit. Charon's might seem... in left field, but truth be told, I wanted to showcase how he's really just a Big Teddy Bear, despite trying to exude anything but that.

Gob Verne

Gob -- Hebrew origin, meaning pit or trench.

Verne -- Latin origin, meaning spring green.

When picking Gob's last name, I wanted to showcase his character growth in a way--going from feeling deep in a hole to in a bountiful greenery. When he and Charon eventually marry and share their surnames, it also works for Charon as a character.
