In October of 2025, Tokamak Energy—a commercial nuclear fusion company based in the UK—released the first of its kind color footage that captured charged plasma inside of their ST40 Tokamak reactor.

The bulk of hydrogen plasma within a start-up is too hot (100 mil° C) to emit visible light. We are initially able to perceive the coolest, outer edge of the reactor's un-ionized, deuterium fuel (pink/blue). Once the ionized Lithium (green) is injected, to cool the chamber, it sheds an electron by ionizing the deuterium and begins to glow deep red.

The ST40 reactor's plasma pulses currently last about 0.2 seconds. This footage was made possible by recording the moment through a heat-shielded porthole w/ a camera capable of rendering 16,000fps.

I’m actually really emotional right now. Crowley has meant so much to me. The sheer thought of that character helped pull me through the worst, the lowest point in my life. To see him get back to the character I love, the one that inspired me, is just so gratifying. I admit I have no idea what happened in this season but I saw enough on here to be deeply concerned. Maybe I was wrong. (But Exit did say I wouldn’t be happy so I’m inclined to believe that.)

All I know is I’m really glad he seems to be back, how he should be.
