I'm watching a walkthrough of a midrange janky Resident Evil clone called Eternal Evil and one of the cop protagonists has it as his personal tragic backstory that he, personally, was responsible for 9/11 for failing to kill Osama Bin Laden.

 It's a first-person survival horror game with a great atmosphere. Your aim is to survive in a town taken over by ghouls and solve the mystery behind the outbreak. It has puzzles, mystery, shooting, giant insects, all the good stuff!

Clearly inspired by Resident Evil, it's a little bit janky at times but considering it's made by a solo developer, this is a very meaty and well-made game. Seems to have a lot of replayability and quite the game length. I really like it. It's on sale:
