Fun fact about mythological Persephone/Proserpina; in Hyginus' Astronomica, there is an anecdote about her abducting a living nymph named Ethemea, which given Hades' propensity for abductions seems usually done with consorts. "[Meropes] had a wife, Ethemea, of the race of nymphs, who was stuck with the arrows of Diana when she ceased worshipping her. At last she was snatched away alive by Proserpina to the Land of the Dead."
A friend and I got curious about what a Hadestown version of that story could be, so we Cameoed Lana Gordon and Allison Russell to see what they thought!

Lana said Persephone and Ethemea are more than just friends, while Allison said Persephone knew Ethemea before she knew Hades and they're besties.
We also have headcanons about Ethemea, those being she's good with birds and takes care of Hadeseph's chickens (there's wall art of them with chickens and it's so cute), cooks for the Workers post-story, and is friends with other Underworld nymphs like Leuce, Minthe, and Eurydice <3
