EXPERIMENT WITH @etherea CONTINUES FROM LAB ROOM 1
Dottore has always been the type of person to push the boundaries and beyond. Those who subjected themselves to confinement could never hope to achieve anything. But those who pushed and prodded, those who challenged the foundations? They were those who would outshine even the gods themselves. But not all endeavors are worth the challenge. Objectively, denying himself sleep never DID gain him anything over the centuries, but that did not seem to ever deter him from pushing himself to the point of collapse. FORTUNATELY, this time he's in his room rather than slumped over his office desk or the lab tables that would inevitably cause muscle strain and tension that would plague him for the rest of the day.
Why is there music? WHO IS IN HIS ROOM? His initial question is swiftly pushed to a lower priority for the more concerning question. Ordinarily he would be able to identify it without hesitation ; but groggy from disturbed sleep, even the doctor has trouble gathering his thoughts. His eyes snap open as he pushes himself up onto his elbows, swiftly turning to look to the source near him. Ah.
" I am, in large part due to your own efforts. " Dottore responds with a glare that while she may not see, he's certain she has FELT. ( It matters not ; mask on or off her eyes remain closed, but it UNSETTLES and irritates him nonetheless to be without it from actions not of his own accord. Her assessment isn't wrong. She is one of the few more privy to the doctor's schedule and habits.
He exhales, raising a hand to lift across his eyes to rub his temples with his thumb and middle finger. " No. They're not particularly dangerous - at least not in this state. The one in your right hand is bioluminescent materials extracted from a particular species of mushroom in Sumeru. The other - "
A pause interrupts his explaination. " . . . You paid attention to what my other segments were doing? " This question lacks the annoyance from before as he sits more up more fully. " And why, exactly, did you decide waiting in MY room was a good idea? "
