So this Post deserves a bit of context. I redesigned my Ghost-Type Eeveelution, Ethereon. But why? Well despite what it looks like from my post history, Ethereon was actually the first Eeveelution I ever drew myself as well as the first full on Fakemon I ever designed. (Only Hisuian Raichu came earlier, but that one is a regional Variant)
And since it was the first, I wasn’t yet that good. The result was that I took some shortcuts while drawing and also messed up the proportions completely. And that always bothered me, I improved a lot since then but one of my favorite designs was also arguably my worst. And so I redid it, I choose a more dynamic pose so that all four legs are clearly visible unlike before, I had it face the viewer and increased it’s head size as to better match the other Eevees. And I’m really pleased with the results. I think this design is worthy of being called my favorite and I can also see how much I improved since the first design.
Now I will say, this is not likely to happen often. I am first and foremost an author and not an Illustrator. I draw to supplement my stories and so as long as I feel the design is not completely outdated I’ll not redraw it, even if I got that much better. Ethereon, unlike other Ghost Types, are not dead but instead have a deep connection to the spirit realm. Wild Ethereon are exceedingly rare, and tend to wander the world, searching for lost souls they can help find their way to the afterlife. If an Ethereon has a trainer, it‘ll be loyal for live. Often refusing to listen to anyone but the trainer. If the trainer of an Ethereon dies, it’ll guide them personally into the next live and watch over them after reincarnation.

A new eeveelution! Ethereon- the spirit pokemon This pokemon evolved at the point of near death. It is stuck in limbo between the spirit realm and the world of the living. It has the ability to commune with and access the powers of the spirits. It can turn its whole body into an ethereal flame that is impervious to damage but cannot interact with the living.
Okay for some reason I really felt like updating my Fakemon Eeveelutions designs that I made ages ago, but I also felt like being a little cheap about it, so made my own base so I can speed through them as their are 18 designs currently. I've done 6/18 now, but I may also decided to finish up some other idea's I've had lurching in my mind.
Anyway need to mention that my Eeveelutions designs don't stick to them being 1 elemental type only as as A) I made these designs for fun and B) I like to believe that Eevee and its I quote- 'Unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions' That with the right circumstance this Pokemon can be any typing they want.

Classification: Shrine Fakémon
Dex Entry: Ethereon, the Shrine Fakémon, said to help get rid of evil spirits and ghost Pokemon. It is said to have a rather peaceful aura about it and that this Fakémon only wants to help guide spirits to move on peacefully.
This Fakémon was said to only be used by strong exorcist/spiritualist of a particular temple that kept the secret of how to obtain this rare Eeveelutions to themselves.
Other Notes: This Fakemon is my first Eeveelution Fakemon I made base on a dream I had back in 2016. In the dream it was called Shrine-Leafeon, it's typing was Grass/Ghost and you could get it if you took Eevee to a certain shrine and gave it the held item Spell Tag and then evolve it inside the Shrine.
