delicate fingers, intertwined with her companions own, held at their waists . their bodies, swaying vacant, yet fluid to the gramophones soft musical chatter . her head, once rested on a broad shoulder, now lingers upright, pastel irises gazing into the bounty hunter’s own . 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 . the words have her heart aching . what once was cold and shriveled now swells with love && appreciation for this one man . the man that was sent to take her in for a pretty penny . now here he was, holding her in his arms under the soft glow of the moon’s kiss, gazing into her eyes with a gleam of adoration .
perhaps she feels bad . having him drag her across the country, facing the dangers && problems she’s been running from . putting a price on his head, all because she’s been stalling ---------- 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 . her problems, her mistakes, now lying as a heavy weight on both their shoulders .
the hand that once enveloped his, now cascades to gingerly caress his jawline, stubble ever so apparent against her palm . her expression appears almost pained, but laced with a familiar fondness . perhaps she even sighs with defeat .
