If Suzukaze starts stealing Ethlyn’s excuses then I’m going to make sure he never reaches A Rank with Kamui. FE4 might be old as dirt at this point, but at least they narratively framed why Ethlyn took Altenna sightseeing in the desert instead of just assuming the player would be cool with her suddenly proclaiming she’d protect her kid and then die on Travant’s lance.

Also her unedraged babysitter Fin was actually back home with Leif. She didn’t drag Altenna, Fin, AND Leif along with her- as her FE14 spiritual successor has essentially done. (that an entire squad of knights and Cuan were with her unlike Hoshido’s king who decided to take a stroll with his toddler alone)
