Sirius sighed as he headed out to meet their newest recruit to the Brigade. He found himself stunned and excited when he saw who he was dealing with, though. Sumeragi was absolutely stunning. The alien stuttered over his words when he tried speaking with her. "Oh hi. I'm Sirius. I'm here to pick you up and bring you to the base ship." He said as he offered his hand to shake.
The Oboran Prince has much to be prideful of: His country, his family, and his friends.
Although he's only appeared as a child in campaign, I made a sketch of what a hypothetical adult Sumeragi would look like. Taking after his father, the lizardfolk prince is a fighter/paladin.
Hey! First of, Happy birthday! I hope you have a good birthday and spend time with the people you love ^^
I saw the requests you were taking and couldn't find any Fire emblem Fates writting so allow me to be the first (that i know) to ask:
Could you write some domestic fluff between the Hoshido siblings? I am really interested in Hinoka and Corrin but any pair of the Hoshidan siblings would work for me tbh
Thank you for the birthday well wishes! Most of my fates stories are posted on a side blog actually. (I need to get back to writing for Fire Emblem and posting on that blog actually. XD ) I hope you enjoy this story. I took a chance and wrote it from Mikoto's perspective so there's a tinge of bittersweetness that I hope you don't mind.

Summary:
Mikoto and Sumeragi watch Hinoka and Corrin play.
Story:
Mikoto watches as the girls wander around in the backyard. Hinoka leads the way, pointing at holes in the walls, spots where their bodyguards travel in and out, always keeping out of sight. Her red hair flies wildly in the wind. Braids undone, and ties lost at some point during their adventure. Corrin follows steadfastly. Not even the biggest wall daunts them. Neither do the many legged bugs they find in their explorations.
“What are they up to?” Sumeragi asks as he sits next to Mikoto.
“Corrin asked to see her home.”
Sumeragi’s chuckle is restrained, almost subdued. “And why are they looking at the routes our forces use to come and go unseen?”
Mikoto smiles knowingly.
Hinoka lifts Corrin up. Her arms wrapped around her little sister’s waist. They tighten as she stands on her tiptoes. Corrin’s legs dangle in the air. Hinoka wheezes. They’re both grinning from ear to ear.
Dark hair disappears on the other side of the wall. Mikoto doesn’t miss the whispers. From the way Sumeragi shakes his head with slight disappointment. They will be hearing from him later. She shall ask him to show them understanding. After all, it's not every day the princesses decide to patrol the walls themselves. Perhaps they could ask young Kaze to show the adventurous pair later. That is, if Princess Hinoka won’t take offense to it.
“That’s where our people come through, but we have to know about it in case an enemy ever finds it!” The princess huffs as she explains. Hinoka does her best to set Corrin down gently. Despite all her greatest efforts, she’s able to do little more than drop her younger sister. Corrin crouches down from the sudden drop. Her knees barely keep from touching the ground.
Corrin practically bounces as she rolls back and forth from her toes to her heels. “To protect Takumi and Sakura!”
“That’s right!”
“We’re their big sisters!”
“Yeah!” Hinoka’s grin grows as Corrin leaps, waving her hands in the air above her head.
“Watching them like this,” Sumeragi begins, a faint smile on his face. “One could believe they’ve known each other forever.”
“To them that may be true.”
Sumeragi nods, and in his heart he knows it’s true. When Mikoto first married him, they had explained it to the children. The differences between Corrin and themselves. Well to Ryoma and Hinoka. Takumi was deemed too young and Sakura is little more than a babe. Her first memories will be with all of her siblings together. The need for explanations is lessened by that fact. Seeing them like this, playing as if they have always been here. Mikoto wonders if they will need to have that conversation again will all of the children in the future.
How would they feel?
Hinoka points at a small pile of broken twigs. Corrin races over, picking up the largest two and tossing one to Hinoka. Neither twig is any longer than Hinoka’s own arms. Hinoka leads this game as she had all the others before it. She makes a swing and waits for Corrin to copy it. Before making a new move. Corrin copies that too.
Sumeragi’s next words are so soft Mikoto almost misses them. “I hope they are never ready.”
She leans closer, just barely invading his space. Their shoulders are not close to meeting, but she can feel his warmth mingling with her own. Mikoto turns from their daughters and watches him. Patiently waiting.
“Warriors.” He offers.
She looks down at the cold wood between them. If the world is kind then their children will never need to be warriors. Wood gives way to air. Beneath it soft dirt covered in grass leads her eyes back to their daughters. Two girls playing freely in the yard. Protected by tall, sturdy walls, and forces unseen by them but not entirely unknown. Before her a memory overlays itself upon her daughters. Dirt covered hands reaching out for her, to catch her before she could fall. Her sister’s voice filled with worry, as she pulled her close. They fall on top of one another. Their limbs entangled as Arete’s light eyes melt away all of Mikoto’s fear. They laughed then, as Arete wrapped her arms around Mikoto’s head. She can feel water gathering at the corners of her eyes.
Hinoka lets out a whoop as Corrin jumps onto her back. She wobbles, but finds her balance. Her grin is all teeth as Corrin wipes her face across Hinoka’s back.
“Do you need a bath?”
“Uh huh.”
Hinoka turned to them then. Mikoto wasnt sure if she had noticed them before that moment. She runs over, holding Corrin on her back. “We need a bath!” The older princess announces to Sumeragi. She barely glances at Mikoto. She tries not to feel hurt as that is to be expected.
“Then you must bathe.” Sumeragi announces. His small smile grows into a full grin. Dark eyes melting from the depths of his love. He rises and offers out his hand. “Come.”
Hinoka takes it, and Corrin crosses her heels over Hinoka’s chest. Sumeragi raises the two of them off of the dirt. The patter of feet landing on sturdy wood causes Mikoto to rise. Corrin giggles as she stops on the other side of the pair. Hinoka lets go of Sumeragi’s hand and leans forward. She pushes Corrin up higher on her back.
“Run!” Corrin orders, and before either of the adults could say a word, Hinoka takes off.
They may have to be warriors one day, but if Mikoto may have one wish, it will be that the world is kind enough to give their children many years together.
