ethnivariance and racivariance are intended to be terms for bodily mixed plurals to describe alters who connect more to a specific race or ethnicity that the body is a part of.
ethnivariance (or ethvar for short) is for alters in a mixed ethnicity system to describe a higher degree of connection to a specific ethnicity of the body. for example, an ethnivariant chinese alter in a system with chinese ethnicity, or an ethnivariant irish alter in a system with irish ancestry
racivariance (or racivar for short) is for alters in a mixed race system to describe a higher degree of connection to a specific race of the body. for example, a racivariant native alter in a mixed native system, or a racivariant black alter in a mixed black system
this may be used to describe the specific culture an alter feels most connected to, the internal appearance of an alter, the beliefs or cultural practices of an alter, or really anything you feel it applies to. this is not intended to be used by anyone who is not bodily a part of the race or ethnicity being claimed. this is intended for mixed plurals to describe their experiences. this term was coined due to me finding the concept of "alter race" problematic, but feeling that a similar term could be extremely helpful to many mixed ethnicity / race plurals out there
no official flag or anything (i was thinking of making flags for different races & ethnicities) but i figure we could use this symbol on the flags, and replace the grays with other colors! if you make any flags under this term, please tag me :) i would love to see them!!
