Why people love Ruby Rose from RWBY- By @etincelleart
1) She's a gentle soul who just tries her best, despite living in a cruel world she persists in having hope. She needed that arc in V9 to understand that it's okay if she wasn't the best or perfect all the time
2) She deals a lot with her emotions just like many of us do, aka keeping stuff to herself because she doesn't want others to bare her burdens for her. Even if it leads her to explode and snap when she just can't keep anything for her anymore It feels good to see yourself on screen.
Not saying that this is a good or healthy way to deal with emotions tho. Just that many of us are like that and it's hard to explain to people why you're acting this way because it's not really conscious as well. But man, many of us loved seeing her snap this volume.
3) She's a small girl who can be dorky and stupid (we love her), but she carries a SUPER HUGE SCYTHE that can cut you in half if she wants to cut you- She's cute AND badass, such a cool combo :]
4) She has a super cool design, we love her vibes so much, we love her haircut, she eats cookies all the time like me, anyway many of us relate a lot to her
5) We love how open and friendly she is, she's so nice with people, she's been nice with Penny who trusted her about her whole existence, she's been nice with Little even when she was crying, she's just kind. It's so precious to be kind.
6) We love her friendship/relationship with Penny sooooo much as you probably already know if you follow Etincelle Their vibes together are just made to be, unfortunately we were completely robbed of the cutest ship of Remnant :'[[[[[[[ I'll never be okay about that, none of us will be.
7) Overall many of fus just relate a lot to her, her vibes, her personality and vision of the world. I wish things would be easier for her,,, But I'm glad in V9 she finally started a whole new journey with herself

Cold Hopes
Circa: 15 years old

Ice cold water engulfed them as they jumped into the lake. It was colder than a human being could endure. Luckily, they weren't particularly human.
Étincelle giggled as they broke the surface, grinning at their friend. "Come on! Water dance with me~"
Ragnar scoffed, jumping into the water and lazily swimming over to them. "This water is too cold for you."
"Oh, it's fine. I'm an autumn fae, not summer. Autumn gets cold." Étincelle swam to Ragnar, putting an arm around him. "Don't worry about it!"
"You're an idiot." He splashed them, snorting. "You're gonna get a cold."
"Then why are you splashing me~? Hmm?" They splashed him in return before jumping on his back, giggling. "I like being in the water with you! Missed out on so much time, wanna soak it up!"
Ragnar burst into giggles, reaching back to poke their cheek. "Maybe we should be in an Autumn lake then!"
Étincelle paused, biting their lip. "You know your parents don't like it when you go into different seasons...especially Autumn." They sighed. "I probably shouldn't even be out here with you."
Ragnar shook his head. "Fuck my parents. I want to spend time with my best friend." He gently took Étincelle off his back, turning to look at him. He couldn't get over how gorgeous his friend was. He couldn't understand why his parents wanted to seperate him from them. In any way. "They can't keep me from you. You're too important to me."
Their mouth settled into a small smile, pulling Ragnar into a hug. "I can't imagine not being able to see you. You're all I have left, Raz...I can't lose you."
He hummed, hugging Étincelle tighter. "I won't let anything else happen to you...you've been through too much already. You deserve happiness."
"I can only hope, Raz..."

On met souvent des années
A faire le premier pas.
Un jour, notre âme se met en marche.
Le mouvement commence à s’articuler,
On pose le pied au sol,
Ça s’allume en nous comme une étincelle,
Et on sait que plus rien se sera pareil.
Des rencontres,
Peu importe qui,
Peu importe quoi,
Peu importe combien de temps.
On avance,
On trébuche,
On se relève.
On tombe quelquefois,
Dans des puits profonds,
Si profonds, qu’on prend peur.
Mais on se lève à nouveau,
Parfois plus fort,
D’autres fois abîmé,
Marqué à jamais.
L’âme meurtrie, fragilisée.
Au moins, il nous reste une âme.
Nous devenons moins accessibles,
Mais nous demeurons sensibles.
Il faut finir ce périple,
Tant pis si c’est seul.
Et voilà qu’apparaît,
Alors qu’on n’attendait plus rien,
La lumière.
Une lumière si puissante,
Qu’elle efface toute ombre sur son passage.
Une lumière si pure,
Que tout devient limpide.
Cette lumière vous signifie le chemin,
Le parcours n’est pas terminé.
Seule, je serais peut-être allée plus vite,
A deux, nous irons plus loin…
