I miss going to Eucon and hosting the homestuck panel. I want to include characters and save money so I can buy prizes for the crowd for games.
If I do get around to hosting a panel in Eugene, Oregon. What would you like to see?

I bought myself pikachus for my birthday today. I love them already
This weekend there’s a small con in my city. This is only its fourth year, and literally the only year I heard about it before the day-of or missed-it-again. I’ve never been to an actual con of any size before. Like with cosplayers and artists and speakers and such. There were lots of cosplayers!
Laika studios was there and gave a talk about stop-motion animation. The speaker passed around an actual production armature (top) and two of the 3D printed character faces (#2 from Boxtrolls, #3, Paranorman, stupid flash camera) that they used to animate the characters. There were way more things scheduled than I could do since some of them were at the same time and I don’t have a time-turner.
Loads of great artists and writers to talk to and buy from. It was nice that is wasn’t all comic/collectable stores clearing out inventory. Star Trek Experience and 501st Oregon Star Wars groups had photo areas set up. I didn’t get any photos but wow their cosplays were fantastic. I scored a glow-in-the-dark dice bag (#4, cannot have too many dice bags) a couple coloring books, some books on folklore and mythology from the author, and a new comic fave Phoebe and her Unicorn. The writer is really cool; I wish this comic existed when I was like 9. Guess I get to catch up now.
The final thing yesterday was an event with Bruce Campbell called “Last Fan Standing.” (#5) Part trivia challenge, part anecdote collection, it was fun! My son made it up on the stage for one of the final rounds (lost an elimination tiebreaker, oh well) and got to talk with Bruce, so that was way cool. I answered one of the questions that stumped the current finalists and won 50 BruceBucks (#6), worth nothing though there was a persistent rumor that the beer garden was accepting them (it wasn’t).
Then realized afterward holy crap I stood up and said something in front of a crowd and a celebrity I’ve wanted to meet ever since seeing Army of Darkness. I have like zero celebrity crushes. I can count on one hand the number of famous people I think it would be cool to meet and at least one of those is dead now.
Very fun day all around. I’m glad I went.
When my boyfriend and I cosplayed Kageyama and Hinata for Eucon, we thought we would give the kabedon a shot! It was a lot trickier than expected, haha.
My booth!!
