Month of Love 2019 - Beauty
As with the same subject Beauty for Month Of Fear last October, it took time to figure out what it means to me. I ended up turning to math - I'm not as expert on the field but have always felt its inherent universal beauty appealing. A quote I came across also was inspiring: "The best part of beauty is that which is not in painting", by Francis Bacon. So, here we have the parts I could not paint beautifully anyway; the elderly, so as not to forget how beauty hardly is only found in the young; roses, of course; and plenty of math, notably Euler's Identity, that mathematicians agree is possibly the most beautiful equation there is. 25×35cm, gift wrapping paper, acrylics, watercolour pencils, and ink pens on paper.
