Rule 1: Always post the rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you asked, and write 11 new ones
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post
Rule 4: Actually tell them you tagged them
1) Name a character that was important to you in your childhood, and why.
I think Beth March was the most important to me, even though she wasn't my hero, like Nancy Drew was. I understood Beth because I was embarrassingly shy, and it was so wonderful to be able to see a character like that.
2) If you could swap lives with a fictional character for a day, who would it be, and why?
Catherine Morland. I immediately knew I wanted to choose one of Austen's heroines because of the era, and Cathy was a pretty easy choice, because I definitely want to hang out with Henry Tilney for a day.
3) You’re in a forest, and you see a key on the ground. Do you pick it up?
Indeed. cf. answer one: Nancy Drew.
4) What kind of tree do you think best describes you?
I don't really know much about trees, but maybe dogwood. They're just very light and cheerful.
5) If you could become friends with any literary character, who would it be and why?
I think Jane Eyre would be a good friend; she'd give good advice, and she'd probably also be a little snarky.
6) If you could make out with anyone from a TV show, who would it be and why?
Ned from Pushing Daisies, with Chuck from Chuck coming in a REALLY close second.
7) A movie producer approaches you and gives you the option of having a large part in a movie he’s making. You can either star in it, write the script, cast it, or put together the soundtrack. Which would you choose?
Oh my gosh. This is so difficult. I really love acting, but at the same time it would be so nice to be able to cast a movie. But I guess I'll just go with star in it.
8) Tell us about the movie, based on your choice in #7.
A WWII drama (because I can rock a vintage aesthetic really well). And Lee Pace would be my love interest shhh what age difference I see no age difference shhhhhhhhhhhhh.
9) If you could turn into any animal (and back) at will, what would it be and why?
A bird. For flight purposes.
10) If you were going to write a memoir of your life, what would you title (& subtitle) it?
Everything I Know About Life I Learned from Nancy Drew: The Memoirs of a Bookworm
11) What is the meaning behind your blog title/url/etc.?
URL: Mina Murray Harker is the best ever. I specifically chose to use Harker instead of Murray because it frustrates me that her relationship with Jonathan is often dismissed or twisted. It's healthy and more interesting than anything any modern adaptation has managed to come up with (I mean, she just drops everything to leave the country to go take care of him by herself when he's ill because that's just what she does)
Title: I really relate to Belle (even more than I ever related to Beth March or anyone else, except maybe Jane Eyre). Not just because of our shared love of books, but because I've felt awkward and out of place for most of my life.
1.) If you could choose one occupation sans limitations, what would it be?
2.) What colour best describes your personality?
3.) Create your dream family, consisting of a father, mother, one sister, and one brother, out of fictional characters.
4.) Who would play you and your best friend in a movie of your life?
5.) Favorite childhood book?
6.) When you were a child, did you ever have a specific game of pretend? (e.g.: I always made up mysteries and pretended to solve them.)
8.) What is the one animal you must see when you go to the zoo?
9.) Share one memory from school (whether it's something a professor said or an award you got, etc.).
10.) Where would the sorting hat place you?
11.) What's your Starbucks order?
