As the miles rack up, and time passes, the car becomes routine, and even a little old. Little things start to go wrong that you can ignore. Then slightly bigger things happen that don’t cost much, but must be addressed. Then, you start heading toward more major repairs. The honeymoon is over.....
[P.S. How ev manufacturers imagined to convince “indigenous” Latvians (especially those living in rural areas, small towns and poor neighborhoods) to ditch our old and quite reliable German made diesels and petrol engine cars inherited from 1990s...and early 21st century????.
Some of them have on odometer at least 400-600 000 km (250-375 000 miles) and they are still working perfectly well: a little bit smelly, noisy and dirty, but they are working.. It is possible to fix them in every workshop....and these old cars are affordable...costs on used market “pennies”!
My neighbor's Škoda Octavia (manufactured around 2000-2001) diesel has on odometer -640 000 km (400 000 miles) and it works....quite OK!
