There is an assumption by many that EVs need new battery packs after 3-4 years. The most frequent question I still get asked when people are looking for their first EV is "how much does a new battery cost". In this video, I try to show how EVs have minimal wear & tear and after 92,000 miles, this 5 year old Hyundai Ioniq Electric still drives like a new one and also has the same battery capacity as a new one!

P.S. There is only question? Where they took the lifecycle of a diesel - 182,000 km and a petrol car only-175,000 km on this scheme!? 

Have the authors of the study completely forgotten that there is a used car market, Eastern Europe and the Baltic States??? Get out of the offices of leasing companies and look what the real lifecycle mileage of used diesel and petrol cars are?? In Latvia by local used car market standards diesel with 182,000 km on odometer is almost “new”...  

Look on used market market! Audi A6 station wagon on sale in small town Talsi, Latvia: diesel 3.0 litres; First registration -01/2011; odometer - 403 625 km (252 282 miles), Price - 7000 EUR. Next one:   Skoda Octavia Elegance 2.0 TDI diesel 103kW, on odometer -  323 865 km (202,415 miles), price - 2900  EUR,   and so on, and so on...
