For those in the know. Here’s @evajellion’s words when I asked her to describe “Moo” Niitani in a single paragraph on the subject, and I (Mod Mamono) trust her words:

“A single paragraph… oh boy

[...] He's responsible for Puyo Puyo, but not Madou Monogatari. He is a puzzle game creator, not exactly a character writer. As such, it's recommended to keep him separate from Madou Monogatari content and give credit to the creation of Arle and the others to those who made the original Madou trilogy.

(nice enough guy, I have no ill-will towards him, but I do think people gave him too much credit)

It's a situation akin to Yuji Naka and Keiji Inafune, where people think that just because someone was heavily involved in a franchise means they made it… when they did not create the characters, lol”

And that’s what she had to say on the matter.

Prior to asking that I personally didn’t know that (not that I thought of him that way), but that is important to keep that in mind. Especially with a less known series in the west unlike Sonic the Hedgehog or Mega Man. There are less people to correct the record.
