When Buck and Eddie get married, Maddie walks Buck down the aisle and Chris walks Eddie. Chris’ best man speech has the entire reception laughing, and when Maddie gets up and toasts to Buck they both cry. Both of Eddie’s sisters fly out and entertain with stories of Eddie as a child, the moments he let himself be silly with them. Buck does a speech for Chris specifically, who despite being sixteen doesn’t protest Buck’s reminiscing on seven year old Chris. Eddie finally cries when Buck gets their guests to toast to Shannon at the end of his Chris speech. The newlyweds dance into the night and get sloppy drunk and refuse to leave each others side, to the point that around midnight Hen finds Eddie slumped outside the bathroom waiting for Buck to get out. Eddie laughs and says, I’m waiting for my husband,” and lets himself feel how right that is.
Buck one upping Eddie and instead of putting Eddie's name in his will, just goes and changes his and Theo's last name to Diaz without telling anyone.
It just randomly comes up one day when Chim asks for updated ID's from them for work.
"Buck, why the fuck does your ID say Evan Diaz???????"
took a break from my crochet project tonight to write a silly little thing inspired by a convo with @monsterrae1 @strawlessandbraless and @theeternalghost. if I had more time i'd flesh it out but right now all you get is... this. in all its unedited and underdeveloped glory.
Dean meets buddietommy on a case | 1,045 words
Dean knocks on the door of the modest LA home. The police sergeant, Athena Grant, gave him the address after he interviewed her.
He knows the house is inhabited by one of the firefighters who was at the scene, but he's completely taken aback by the man who opens the door. At six feet tall, Dean isn't a small man, but he feels dwarfed in comparison to the burly blonde in front of him. The man is only a couple inches taller than him, but he is built; toned muscles bulge from his chest and arms, and his legs are thick as tree trunks. And he has a jawline as chiseled as one of Michelangelo's statues. Subconsciously, Dean gulps.
Then he remembers why he's here. Clumsily, he reaches for his badge and holds it up in front of him. "Um, Agent Page, FBI. You must be Evan Buckley. Mind if I ask you a few questions?"
The man smiles widely, his eyes crinkling in the corner. "Oh, I'm not Evan. That's my partner. I'm Tommy. Kinard." He holds out his hand, which Dean shakes after storing his fake FBI badge back in his sport coat pocket. "But come in. I'll get Evan."
Dean steps in, taking in the very well lived-in home. The entry leads right into the living room, where a teenage boy sits on the couch playing Mario Kart.
From a room that must be the kitchen, another man appears, somehow just as large as the first one. Holy hell. What is it about LA that makes their firefighters so… well-built and handsome?
Well this is interesting too. This is also true. Buck didn't have to work as hard for Tommy, but his next LI is someone he will have to work hard for. It was always easy for him. Always got the person. Eddie will be a challenge for him
Father Brian quickly categorized Buck as "one of those crazy firefighters" and noped out of there so fast.
He is truly my hero
Part of me doesn't want Buddie to get married in the show because right now I can live in the delusion that Buck would drop the Buckley and become Evan 'Buck' Diaz, but knowing shows and showwriters, they either never change a character's last name (unless they got married before the show started) or hyphenate. So if they do get married, he'd either still be Buckley or Buckley-Diaz/Diaz-Buckley. And then I can't be team Evan Diaz anymore.
Y’all know the song “my whole family thinks I’m gay”
Thats Eddie’s life right now.
“Even my boyfriend (Buck) thinks I’m gay”
