evangeline navarro should be dean winchester levels of popular
The most completely devastating Evangeline Navarro “keep it to yourself” moment is when she gets the call that her sister’s dead and her coworker asks about it and she says everything’s okay.
But my favorite Evangeline Navarro “keep it to yourself” moment is when the guy she’s seeing asks her to share something about herself in exchange for intel and her immediate response is to walk out on him.
Prior: She can't make it in those caves alone. You know that.
Liz: That's your dad.
Navarro: You clean, you clean good. You know what to do. Then get the bodies to Rose Aguineau. Okay? Tell her I said take you to Julia. Say it!
TRUE DETECTIVE— NIGHT COUNTRY. PART V
Finished true detective season 4 and I’m still thinking of Evangeline Navarro
There absolutely is stuff to criticize about night country unfortunately 99.99% of the loudest criticism is just tons of racism and misogyny. Sorry you cant appreciate old mean grump jodie foster and headstrong sad bisexual kali reis. Sucks to suck ig

True Detective bisexuality that I care about:
• Evangeline Navarro and Rose Aguineau (who are girlfriends. forever.)
• Evangeline Navarro polycule with Rose Aguineau and also her good time boy occasional hookup Eddie Qavik (he supplies her with toothbrushes and kisses her boo-boos better)
• Amelia Hays (just, like, in general)
• Rose Aguineau polycule with her spirit boyfriend (Travis Cohle) and spirit girlfriend (Evangeline Navarro)
• Rose Aguineau seeing Evangeline Navarro as a beautiful gift from the cosmos and reminds her of this on the regular.
Something something Evangeline's name comes from a poem from the 19th century about white Acadian woman forced from her home in Canada and separated from her lover by an act of ethnic cleansing by the British, forced into strange lands and often reduced to poverty. The Acadians who fought with the Mi'kmaq to protect themselves from the British and the Americans who wanted them both gone, wanted their land, their everything. Evangeline Navarro who fled Boston with her mother and her sister to the vast, empty wilderness that her mother had run from years before. Her mother, who walked out into that wilderness and Evangeline, who keeps feeling that urge herself, who knows nothing but running, running, running all her days.
