He'd just been simply opening the door for someone on his way into the bank when the sound of snarling interrupted and-- the sensation of teeth clamping down on his calf, Evan wincing hard and dropping the drink in his hand, splattering it all over the ground and unfortunately her shoes. "Shit, I'm sorry. Uh.. This is gonna be weird to explain but I have a thing going on where animals hate me and your dog is gnawing on my leg so if it could, y'know, not. That'd be great!"

For a brief moment, Gahyeon was almost too startled to do anything. Minnie had never behaved this way before, let alone while guiding her. “I-I am so sorry!” She stuttered out, hands reaching out blindly to grasp her dog’s scruff and carefully pry her off of him. “Minnie, calm down…” She pulled her off to the side and knelt down to her level. Scratches behind her ears always made her feel better, right? Try as she might, she could still feel Minnie was on edge. “I am so sorry, sir, she… she’s never done this before.”

🙃:  What confuses your muse the most?

Why people who like math actually exist. She doesn’t understand how people actually find the solving of abstract equations enjoyable. 

😋:  What’s your muse’s sense of humor like?

Horrible. If someone could go to hell for their humor [more than the hell she’s in] she’d be first in line for the throne. She has s lightly dark humor especially when it comes to death, loss and pretty much the future. She also has a very corny dorky humor. She laughs at dad jokes, cracks them and also just likes a bit of silliness. 

😒: What does your muse find disgusting? 

Spiders and creatures that crawl. She would set them all on fire if she could. 

😱:  What mortifies your muse?

She’s seen many things in her life so there isn’t much that mortifies her. Perhaps the most recent thing that truly mortified her were things she experienced and saw on a mission to aid the academy. She still has nightmares and hasn’t come to terms on how to handle it. 

😑:  Is your muse able to keep their temper under control? 

Haahaaaaaa haaaa. Not even a little. She has gotten in fights and battles for as long as she can remember for her temper and it will never change.

My favorite thing about your portrayal of Jieun is the way she's written is just visually stunning to picture in your head and she has never been just passive in a scene. Even her puttering around in her kitchen is written to where you can actually picture her tinkering around, constantly moving, but not in a glaringly distracting way at all, she's just your nervous pal that always has to be doing something with her hands and I love that attention to detail.

Oh my gosh you hit it head on and I’m crying. She really is that person who always have to be doing something [Ie me, queen fidgeter of the nation] And I wanted to portray that and I’m happy its coming through ;A;

“You can push as hard as you like. That door doesn’t open that way.”

Turning to glance behind her, she paused a moment before clearing her throat, a smile rising on her lips as she loftily flipped her hair. “I’m conducting campus wide test on the doors.” It was a lie, but a commendable one that she could easily play all the way through. “So far my research has found that of the one thousand-one-hundred-seventy-three public doors on campus, only two hundred and forty seven don’t open both ways. Forty-eight counting this one.”

Boxes, the whole damn hall in the apartment building was littered with boxes, Evan's brow furrowed curiously as he looked around, noticing stacks of things piled up outside his door over in 2A but-- he hadn't ordered anything, what the hell was all this? "New neighbor?" He called out to the man hovering around the vicinity of 2B, the reaper grinning widely before taking a long sip of his bright blue Slurpee. "Need any help getting this stuff in or are you good, bro?"

This lanky fella apparently had no consideration for his neighbors-to-be since he so rudely let boxes stack along the hall, doing the moving all by himself, which was not a first to him but it’d been a while since he last moved. Living inside walls didn’t really let him have much stuff to fill the one bedroom apartment so before he came he’d gone to grab a couch from the dumpsters, dusty and old, but Al thought it had character and was good as long as it didn’t smell like cat piss, which it gladly did not.

He was bringing the last of his boxes up, balancing them against the door and his knee as he fumbled for his keys from the pocket of his pants, the clink-clink of metal against metal bringing a satisfied sigh out of him. “Gotcha now!” he supported the few boxes again and opened the door finally, practically throwing the stuff from his hands next to the door, inside this time, before he realized he was being talked to.

“Greetings, dude–” he automatically bent down a little when he stepped out of the apartment, although doors usually were about two meters in height, Al had had surprises and unfortunately hit his head before, “if you have time I won’t turn down help, I actually have a couch waiting downstairs and a tv too, you know one of those old ones that weigh like sin on your shoulders, though less pleasing to carry.” Al grinned widely at the other, “I’m Alastair, but just call me Al. Assuming you live in one of these?” finger gestured towards both sides of the hall where doors were before he grabbed more boxes to carry inside, piling them in the living room.

☾ - Taking a nighttime walk with them

Her arm was looped through his as a scarf she’d brought along twisted about both their necks keeping them somewhat in sync. The weather was finally warming up but the nights like this were still much cooler than expected.  The moon shone brightly upon the two of them as they ambled through the trees and around the campus in amiable silence. She’d been preparing to go on the walk alone when she’d quite literally bumped into Evan and it had only seemed right to invite him along. 

“Do you hear that?” She asked suddenly, a smile lighting her lips as she let out a dreamy sigh. “Absolute silence on this campus.” It was truly a rare sound, one that you tended to only hear at night. And that was exactly why she preferred to save her exploring for the late night or very early morning. “Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the sound of senseless chatter as much as the next person, but sometimes the absence of it all is just what’s the most lovely thing.” 

Her hand dropped from his arm to link their fingers together and with a grin she was tugging him into a run across the campus. Through buildings and halls the wove, past the windows of those asleep and perhaps awake and lonely. She had a place in mind to show him, somewhere that was wonderful at this hour! The scarf that had kept them together had fallen off at some point in their run but no matter, she could -and probably would, claim it later. 

Finally they reached the bell tower and pushing through the door she was tugging his hand to lead him up the winding steps higher and higher until they reached the very top. Chest heaving and cheeks rosy from the exertion she finally allowed them to stop as she motioned out across the campus. “Isn’t it beautiful from here? You can see everything.” 

And under the moonlight was when she truly thought this place was perfection, or as close to it as she might ever call a home.

☆ Getting them something they need before they ask for it.

Blood shot eyes, pacing back and forth the length of the room and a pile of books and notes on the table before her. She was sure she looked crazy and more than a bit unsettled but that didn’t stop her. Test were coming up and she was more than a small bit unprepared for them. What she was prepared for was to stay up yet another night trying to study for them and memorize the notes she’d managed to scrounge up from the great beyond. 

Hours later and she was falling asleep, legs thrown over the edge of a chair as her head dangled back at a dangerous and uncomfortable angle. She was only going to sit down for a minute, rest her eyes and try to fend off the growing ache that had started behind her eyes and spread to the furthest reaches of her mind. 

‘Umm’

No longer was she precariously positioned on the chair. Now she was rubbing her head from where it’d hit the floor when she’d rolled from the chair in a moment of panic. When she managed to pull herself up, she found herself squinting at a person standing across from her bearing a steaming mug and a take out bag. “Do you need the room? I can lea...Is... that coffee?” It was coffee and pastries and apparently they were for her. Slender arms folded across her chest as she stared at the items before staring at the fellow who’d brought them. “That’s really nice of you, I’m trying to study but it’s not going as well as I had hoped.” But now she had coffee, caffeine, her life elixir. All it took was one sip of the hot liquid to draw a smile to her lips. Two sips and the haze began to clear from her mind. 

“I seriously can’t thank you enough.”
