Hi, I have a question for you as a writer. I'm thinking of rewriting the quest chain related to scarlet onslaught and malganis for my dnd campaign. If you have any tips on how to write it interesting, or leave it as is. What exactly was his plan besides "me and my warlocks sitting in a cave"? Does it make sense to not kill abbendis?
I had completely forgotten the warlock cave...
Mal'ganis had a petty plan to get revenge on Arthas for killing him and insisted we wouldn't be able to kill Arthas without his help. He proceeded to not show up again until Legion, and even then he didn't really show up until Shadowlands. It's so silly that the HOTS team references this lack of action, twice.
If I was going to change the Scarlet Onslaught quests, I'd resolve his plot line—either by killing him or, amusingly, bringing the Scarlet Onslaught up for the fight against the Lich King (if your players are getting that far!). I probably would also clean it up more, cutting the warlock cave altogether.
The original quest line in Dragonblight, if I recall, includes the player dressing up as crusaders and getting information. I think if you're looking for a more interesting way to spin it (and your players aren't all too aware of this lore), I'd consider playing it as sort of a mystery—which of the leaders of the Onslaught is the corrupting force? Who is being shifty and making a lot of strange changes to the Onslaught?
If you want your players to have the option to save the Onslaught and spare Abbendis, I think giving them a way to reveal Baeran Westwind as Mal'ganis in front of her would be the best way of doing it. From there, you can either make it a "we solve this in Dragonblight" resolution, or you can have your players help Abbendis reclaim control of the Scarlet Onslaught when Mal'ganis flees north to Onslaught Harbor.
Those are just my ideas though; your mileage may vary depending on your table/players.
Hi! I'm drawing scarlet, and it turns out Isillien is wearing the same dress as Onyxia. Did you notice? I can't stop giggling at the thought of him being the most fashionable crusader in the neighbourhood
What? No he—
Oh my god. He is.

Can I ask you what playlist or songs you associate with your favorite pairings or characters?
I have a bunch of playlists on my Spotify that I went to clean up and make a bit more cohesive when you sent this
Hello, I just wanted to say, THANK YOU!!!! Your reblogs and tags always make me smile! I have some works on my turn, such as all the chars of the scarlet crusade (because I'm insane) and art inspired by your Onion work (because I like it very much), hope you'll like it. Have a good day!!
I'm so honored that a wonderful artist such as yourself likes my work. I absolutely adore your art and have that Renault as my phone background because I love it so much. I can't wait to see what you make in the future!
