despite the majority of her brothers being keen quidditch players, she was not allowed to play with them when she was a child. when she was six, she began a habit of breaking into the family broom shed and taking each of their brooms out in turn. she was never caught, and it only came to light eight years later.

remus lupin was the only child of the wizard lyall lupin and his muggle wife hope howell. lyall lupin was a very clever, rather shy young man who, by the time he was thirty, had become a world-renowned authority on non-human spiritous apparitions. he described werewolves as ‘soulless, evil, deserving nothing but death’.

it is luna who carefully tends to ollivander in the prison cell where they are trapped at malfoy manor. she keeps everyone together, stays positive and upbeat, showing strength of character that is extraordinary. ollivander is so grateful he sends her a new wand.

the gravel driveway to the manor house is wide and has a large hedge curving alongside it. the driveway and hedge go past a pair of wrought-iron gates. these gates permit select individuals to pass through them as if they are smoke, and with others the iron contorts into a face which demands the purpose of the person trying to enter the manor. the yew hedge is known to have albino peacocks roving along the top of it.

location edits: malfoy manor pt. 2

malfoy manor is a handsome manor house surrounded by elaborate gardens, including a fountain. the front door swings inward at the approach of a person without anyone visibly opening it. the hallway is large, dimly lit, and sumptuously decorated, with a magnificent carpet covering the stone floor. the walls of the entrance hall display pale-faced portraits lining the walls, and at the end of the hall is the bronze-handled door to the drawing room.

although some appeared to have been fanatically loyal to voldemort, several only aligned with him for the ideas of purification and shared glory, while many others seemed to serve him largely out of fear. as soon as he was defeated in 1981, many immediately renounced their loyalty and did not attempt to find voldemort in the intervening years.
