The Trust Value system being quantity over quality

It reduces individuals to mere numbers, as if emotions like trust and belief can be quantified. The numbers can be seen on your wrist at all times, reminding you exactly what your worth is.

For a hero to exist, there needs to be a not-hero. Nobodies. People like Lin Ling or Yang Cheng who will always be defined by what they’re not, and it takes a noticeable toll on their self-esteem.

Everything revolves around how many people like you—and you can change those numbers by changing “yourself”. The values change day by day, decreasing if your believers stop paying attention to you—and start paying attention to your competitors. The heroics industry pits well-meaning people against each other by necessity. People are a finite resource. So you can never stop acting.

To be a hero, you need everyone to like you, forever.

slash ships don't excite me much anymore ever since i realised that all the dynamics and traits i was looking for in them can also be found in femslash ships (and anyways femslash ships are closer to my lived experiences / i'm attracted to women and not men irl) and this extends to male characters and blorbo-ism ... i just don't find most male characters that compelling or interesting anymore when they have a female character right beside them, unexplored, underdeveloped, with all those messy human juicy flaws and traumas that i can't wait to dig my fingers into and explore. all those contradictions and all that pain. like WOAH

(my only exception is probably KHR and DP since those are childhood shows i grew up with and i fear i'm overly attached to all the characters now, male and otherwise ... but that's it!!)

Someone once got mad at me on here for liking their posts, and I think that (and old anxieties left over from when I was in school) is why I'm usually so terrified of interacting with anyone on here unless it's specifically relating to a post I make

The Eclipse Cocktail

Put the 50ml fresh orange juice, 25ml vodka, 25ml triple sec and 15ml fresh lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice; shake well. Strain into a glass with more ice, top up with soda water, then garnish with fruit.

The Moon Drop

Put a glass into the freezer to chill for at least 30 minutes before making this drink. In a shaker, place 1 cup seedless black grapes, thinly sliced and one of the 2 rosemary sprigs in 1 ounce simple syrup (equal parts of sugar and water dissolved). Muddle very well. Add the 1.5 ounces Spice 94 Seedlip, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 6 ice cubes. Shake vigorously (30 to 40 times). Strain and pour into the well chilled glass. Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig.

Sundrop Negroni Slushie

Mix 1 ounces Gin, 2 ounces Campari, 3 ounces simple syrup, 2 ounces lemon juice and 4 ounces Cherry Lemon Sundrop together and store in a container to freeze for 24 hours. Break up the contents and serve with a spoon once desired consistency is achieved.

I continually feel like I need to clean up my blog (reorganise the tags, write a new intro post, go through my followers list, etc), but I never find the time and/or work up the energy. So it's a cycle of feeling bad that I don't do it, forgetting for a while, and then feeling bad again.
