The Evenlight is hosting an evening vigil on the shores of lake Elune’ara in Moonglade! Kistra Moonpetal will be hosting a small gathering for both Horde and Alliance (although pets can only be given to Alliance players on WrA) to celebrate the end of the Lunar Festival.

On Friday, February 3rd, find us directly across the lake from Nighthaven, right next to the Stormrage barrow dens. The event will run from 5:30-7 p.m. server time.

Attendees will be asked to reflect on the previous year, and make wishes for the new one. Wish for peace, wish for love; wish for prosperity for your family and friends, or seek blessings from Elune for your future endeavors. 

Near the end of the evening, attendees will be asked to walk across the cobblestone path to the shore of the lake. There, we will release lanterns into the sky, in memory of those we have lost, and as a symbol of their place in our hearts for all time.

Bring a lantern, wisp, or candle pet! If you do not have one, we can provide one. ^-^  Fireworks are encouraged. Please dress up in something nice!

directing an RP

I’m working hard on the RP I have for my guild, The Evenlight , and I’m studying everything I can find that details how to actually get people involved and make my project available for more than just the few people I can handle at a time. There are about 8 of us, but we all have multiple characters we want included, so that brings my total character count up to something I can’t even really report right now. 

Is it good enough to just run an RP for my group of friends...? 

I don’t want to put the RP threads on tumblr until they’re finished, primarily because I don’t want to have to track down all the splinters (via reblog). I’m using Google Docs so that everything stays in a neat little line, able to be edited for typos and dramatic effect, and make sense. 

I’m really not much for RPing in-game. I want to run a few events, but as far as my major storyline goes, there’s no way. I use Elephant to keep RP logs, but the editing process is a pain in the rear end. I don’t want to post raw logs because I’m a dirty, dirty perfectionist. 8D;

But then, how do I get people outside of my immediate friend circle involved...? One idea I had was to put out prompts, and allow people to submit them to my Evenlight blog if they decided they wanted to interact with Evenlight themes or characters. That would be tons of fun! It also allows RPers to choose when they are able to participate, and it doesn’t leave me trying to meticulously weave in a thousand threads. I want a story. 

Maybe I’m too ambitious. That’s just me, though. ^_^; Shoot for the stars!

I do like the idea of a tumblr-based group RP, though. The guild is officially open. Cross-server RPers unfortunately are not able to join from other servers unless they make an alt here (on Wyrmrest), and leveling alts this expac is pretty rough on time. :(  

HOWEVER! That doesn’t mean we can’t write threads together here! ^-^ 

I dunno, I’m just thinking out loud.... I’m proud of what I’ve done, though. I draw pictures for our RP threads. I draw our settings when I can. I draw our artifact weapons and special super forms if we have them. I find theme music, I arrange little groups of people to RP together and work with them to decide what kind of plot their character would benefit from.... and I love that work. I enjoy being a coordinator/director. I love bringing out the best in us, and providing us with questions and experiences to grow our characters and our stories. 

I think I just need to take a deep breath and do it my way.
