BETHLEM ROYAL HOSPITAL walking through the grounds
I would recommend the tour led by an artist once a patient there himself. He is a friendly laid back chap, with many a tale to tell.
He walked us through the grounds known as, The Monks Orchard estates, which are vast; and at one time had lakes in the grounds. Unfortunately, they were covered up, as it was considered too dangerous for the in…

Pregnancy
a I’m entering into my 7 months pregnancy now! This means over with 2nd trimester and towards the 3rd! Thought I should pen it down some memories for keepsake!
I can’t recall when we found out this little new addition to our family. Based on the photos taken, it stated 7 Nov 2015 in the evening, 7+pm! The only thing I remembered was resting at home so much, thinking to myself why is my gastric getting worst. Then I realized I’d missed my “girl’s thing” aka period.
The following week, we went to see a doctor at Thomson Medical for a blood test. And so, the result confirmed that I was 8 weeks preggie! :)
Many friends asked how do I feel, and if I feel happy, but honestly, my first trimester was so tiring that most of the time I was resting on bed and didn’t think much. All I know was, I just felt weird and nervous, everything seems so new to me and it seems I couldn’t control my body. hahas..
It took me probably another 2-3 months before it really sink into me that I’m having a baby and a connection with this little one.
From the 4th month of pregnancy onward, my body starts to feel so much better and energetic. It feels sooo good to be able to go out on the weekends again! Unlike many pregnant women, I don’t have much/specific cravings. I just can’t drink water and so my gynae advised to take mineral water instead for the time being. And I enjoy drinking milk and eating apples!
Finally my little baby bump can be seen during 5 months preggie. I love this Maison Jules metallic ombre lace dress from an outlet in Bugis Junction. I’m facing a wardrobe crisis and yet I don’t feel like dressing up as much. It’s not a good time to invest on clothes either, though I’ve bought few clothing from ASOS Maternity wear, their quality is good and comfortable.
My first baby kick was during the 5th month. It was then it really hit me that my baby is growing up fast and healthy. :)
6 months preggie as below and I’ve gained additional 9kg :/ Some really useful apps that has helped me throughout are:
1) Nurture (Glow Nurture). It’s a pregnancy tracker and is named one of 10 Best iPhone apps and featured by InStyle, The Guardian, Brit & Co, and many more!
Everyday, I’ll log in and record my daily supplement intake, pregnancy health and symptoms etc. There will be an article each day on how my body is changing, how my baby is growing and tips, very informative indeed! The best function I like about the app was how I can interact with new/experience mums from all over the world. Sometimes, we hear too many “advice” from relatives and friends who can be over-reacting and kind of scaring you. It’s good to have an open mind knowing that mums from another region are doing certain stuff which after-all wasn’t scientifically proven to be harmful etc.. So it keeps me happier and much more positive! hahas..
2) What to Expect (Everyday Health, Inc.). Most trusted pregnancy brand.
Probably the most well-known app around the world, since most of my friends are aware of this app! If you’re like me, after reading so many articles and tired of all the medical terms etc, switch to watching the week by week videos on this app. It makes pregnancy easier to understand! hahas..
Side track a bit, earlier this year, I’ve downloaded this app - Eventbrite and discovered some really interesting events. Eventbrite is a global marketplace for live experiences that allows people to find and create events in 190 countries.
One of the events I’ve attended and find it really fruitful and fulfilling was the Women Of Wealth & Abundance. Sakurako🌸 and Sharmiela went with me and we managed to take pictures with one of the speaker, Yassmin Abdel-Magied, founder of Youth Without Borders. This amazing lady shared her experiences, motivations and techniques on becoming a successful lady. She had also won the Young Queenslander of the Year award for her work with YWB. Too bad I couldn't get to meet Randi Zurkerberg who was one of the speakers on the 2nd day seminar. I had a impromptu road trip with Chris to Malacca! It was a short and relaxing one! :)
Got these beautiful blooming flowers from b. FLEURISTE pop-up at the agnès b. store in Raffles City. These flowers are specially flown in from Kenya and they’ve got preserved flowers too!
Counting down to EDD (Estimated Date of Delivery), which is around the end of June, can be nerve-wracking and yet exciting at the same time. There are so many things to learn and know during this journey and I’m thankful for every prayers, help and care from families and friends. Especially my mum who made bird-nest soup every week whenever she can and Chris who always make warm milk for me before bed. :)
Although at random times I’ll still feel super giddy in cold sweat from low blood circulation, thank God for his grace and protection. Each day our baby kicks makes me smile to know that God is good. #ThankGod #Godisgood
Earlier this morning I was building a Google Map demo for a client (using EventBrite data - I'll share that if I can) and I needed to center a Google Map on America. There are a couple ways of doing this and I thought I'd share them along with some screen shots so you can see the results.

Innereactive Media is hosting an educational seminar tonight coupled with beer, wine, and food! My kind of event!
I've been using Eventbrite to coordinate this event by sending email invitations, accepting registration, and linking to SurveyMonkey for a post-event survey.
This letter from @googamooga took away tickets we got for friends who did not register. Talk about the worst thing you could do two weeks before the event. Absolutely the trashiest thing, please reblog or boycott or whatever people do to make these people understand its cool to come into Brooklyn with your hippy junk, just remember when you take back something you gave and then charge for it, your not a hippy foodie fest your a just another capitalist fascist dirt bag festival. That's fair right? i mean, cause I have only praised the fest, so i should be able to talk back about it as it will prolly blow and charge like 4 dollars for a pickled fava bean.
